Priest has always been my favourite band (hell, this is the only R&M thread I post in).

They soooo need to play Heart of a Lion live.

GenuineImitation 05-16-2006 01:02 PM

Angel of Retribution, British Steel or Painkiller are my favorite Priest albums. Im not too crazy about Screaming for Vengence. Its good, but not great in my opinion.

They need to do Hard As Iron and/or Ram It Down also.

Hard As Iron would be so damn awesome live.

-The Frank 05-17-2006 07:48 AM

I would really like to hear 'between the hammer and the anvil'. That would really kick ***

Deth 05-17-2006 10:00 AM

Who knows whats going to happen on the next tour. They'll be playing the entire new album, so the rest of the set I would imagine would be the lesser known tracks.

Considering Tipton messes up the Painkiller solo now, I don't think they're gonna pull off that dual lead in Ram it Down anytime soon :upset:

And they have no excuse for not playing Hard as Iron live, seeing as they've got the drummer for it now. Dave Holland was too slow for a lot of the stuff on Ram it Down, so they had to use a drum machine.

Do they play Dissident Aggressor or Dreamer Deceiver live?

Actually I imagine it would be even more of a reason to play old favourites so as to salvage the show in case the audience doesn't like the new album much.

Riva 05-17-2006 05:36 PM

Haha. I wouldn't care, as long as I could say that I saw Priest, live!

What I mean is, half the show is already going to be catered to more hardcore fans, so why not the whole thing?

Maybe it's just the fanboy speaking.

I bet if we called ourselves Folsom then everyone would want to play here.

GenuineImitation 05-19-2006 11:48 PM

Does anyone have Judas Priest's DVD "Rising in the East". Im watching it now on VH1 classics and its really amazing.

NP: Judas is Rising

Rrrrrrr 05-20-2006 01:31 AM

Riva 05-20-2006 02:02 AM

I have it. It's quite good, though the lack of special features is disappointing.

Deth 05-20-2006 09:15 AM

I have it as well. I watched the whole thing last night, and I like it a lot more than I initially did and I liked it a lot to begin with. Sound is perfect, setlist amazing and Rob is almost perfect on everything besides Painkiller. I love it.

Saxon Priest 05-20-2006 11:01 AM

I was considering getting Rising in the East but I think I'll get Electric Eye instead, Rob looks awful now.

Geddy lee+Robert plant=Halford with long hair

Not cool.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-21-2006 12:42 AM

haha yeah, Robert Plant was the first person I thought of when I saw that

Rrrrrrr 05-21-2006 10:46 AM

Yeah, my first impression from those videos was that they wanted to be Zeppelin with two guitars back then.

Riva 05-21-2006 05:32 PM

That's scarier than seeing Maynard with hair. He had a great voice back then, didn't he. Rob, I mean, not Maynard.

victim of changes 05-23-2006 02:35 PM

Strange

Riva 05-23-2006 04:57 PM

Pardon?
