I think all the bands influenced each other. Like it was the 'cool' thing to do. All of the older music by the bands is better.

Derycks guitar ability is a little worse then Billie Joe's.....for singing and playing he's decent but not great......but unlike Green Day, Sum 41 have Dave who kicks major as's to also play guitar, i personally think Sum 41 have the best musiciainship lineup with the 4 members thing where one guitar player sings. Like bands such as The Offspring, Rancid, the Vines, etc. et.c

deryck's actually a pretty good guitar player. not at dave's level, but pretty good. i've heard him play solos, metal riffs, etc. and he's got talent.

I saw them last night.
It was so amazing. They played a lot of older stuff, which was cool. I don't really like Chuck that much.
Makes No Difference was my favourite song of the night probably, or No Reason.

ok....billie joe and deryck are about equal, both are alot better then they lead on, and both sing while they play, although if i had to pick which one i would rather be i would pick deryck cuz he's dating Avril and shes hott :thumb:

I'd have to say Deryck probably is a bit better at guitar, but they're both pretty good vocally. They both put on one hell of a show, too.

it only seems like deryck is better on guitar, if you seem them play life, half the time he isent even playing, before green day's recent tour Billie Joe was always playing, alot of sum 41 dont have leads in the whole song, whenever you dont hear a lead its usually Dave playing rythem.....i think when they dont sing billie joe is better at guitar but deryck's voice is better live.
