No. I saw them live on the Monday night after the Gold Coast Big Day Out with Hatebreed and Japunga, and it was an all ages gig. it was quite good eh, pretty fuggin' good. shame we had to wait for half an hour cos the fagets at the front wouldn't let 'em fix the broken barrier. Meh, it rocked. So no, there are some all ages happening with them ay.

TheSubtleArts 02-09-2005 02:23 PM

ozzfest was all ages too i think.

Huber 02-09-2005 02:56 PM

Yeah, it is.

Thor 02-09-2005 03:33 PM

Yeah its all ages. My friends went to go see them at the Jagermeister Tour last year with Fear Factory and Chimaira. I heard it was awesome, but Slipknot wasnt the best band there, even though they were the main act.

yea that was a great show, slipknot played alot of songs off the new album, but that was like a month before it came out, so i didnt really kno anything they were playing, but they are still great live and everything. i didnt really like fear factory all that much but chimaira was good.

thelittledrummerboy 02-11-2005 04:02 AM

n00b alert!

Joey Jordison is good, yes, I'll admit that. But there are much better drummers out there, like Nick Barker from Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir. That guy "pwns", if that is what the cool kids are saying these days.

Chris 02-17-2005 12:51 PM

Can any of you give me a site to download Mate Feed Kill Repeat for free, as i dont have any music download programs, I asked on the thread about it, but thought i would also ask here.

They don't play any of them, sadly. I wish that they would play "Do Nothing/Bitchslap", that would be great to see live, because then Paul Grey would actually do something interesting for a change.

xXCutxUpxAngelXx 02-17-2005 06:25 PM

Hmm...20..Ok Here it goes:
Wait and bleed
Duality
do nothing(bitchslap)
(SIC)
Vermillion Prt2
Heretric anthem
vermillion
eyeless
Iowa
People= ****
pulse of the maggots
...ok I have lost motivation

Ok The drummer from cradle of filth isnt as good as Joey, I can play Nympetamine and Gilded Cunt, I have been playing drums since I was 7 and I still cant play anything by slipknot. Im a Big cradle of filth fan and they kick *** and Im a huge slipknot fan, and I love them both, but the drums arnt as hard to play.

All it takes to play Joey's stuff is some stamina. I can play most of it. I'm just out of shape and it took me awhile to build up a roll like that. If you can play a semi-long double-bass roll and do quad licks (the root of EVERY fill of Joey's) then you can play almost anything from Slipknot.

As for the drummers of Cradle of Filth and Dimmu I haven't listened enough of either bands to judge them. Especially after hearing lots of Slipknot, just giving a few listens to CoF or Dimmu wouldn't do me enough to compare. I've heard good things though, they're probably great drummers.

Sleeper 02-17-2005 06:48 PM

I dont think COF drummer is better than joey, i havent heard anything amazing as far as drums go in COF. I like the band alot but i mostly hear just double bass and randomn fills.

they dont play any, but they play the Iowa version of Gently, which is also on MFKR but is differant, same lyrics tho.

Sleeper 02-17-2005 11:15 PM

The gently version for Iowa is better IMO

paco999 02-18-2005 06:39 PM

^^^i love the Iowa version but i havent heard the MFKR one

Nostalgia 02-18-2005 06:42 PM

Nick Barker wasnt in Cradle of Filth when Nymphetamine was released. Just thought you might want to know. :thumb:

No, the singer in MFKR was Anders Colsefni. I really liked him, but Corey does get the job done as far as I am concerned.

Sleeper 02-18-2005 09:52 PM

Lol anders used to put eletrical tape over his face when they did live shows.

TheSubtleArts 02-18-2005 10:08 PM

Iowa version of Gently is better, but MFKR version of tattered and torn, and only one are better IMO

NnyTard 02-19-2005 01:02 AM

on the new tour tshirts, they have a pic of the band without their masks on, i think their faces are painted all blue or something isntead, its interesting, but really, they don't look too pretty without the masks on.
