I didn't, and i should have. But are the rules there exactly the same as in each different forum? I know they're similar. I dunno, I just thought it would make everything a little easier that way.

The rules for each individual forum inside of MX are different. Some places is more relaxed and some are more aggressive. The rules in Rock and Metal are definiatly more strict and enforced. All in all it is based on the volume of visits.

You pretty much have to gain respect of the mods and prove that you're a productive poster who is willing to help the MX community.

It doesn't matter if you ask or not, I don't think the mods care, it just depends on how productive of a poster you are. I didn't ask, but I hinted at it a good bit. :p

Hey, mods, I had an idea for a new game..not sure if you'll like it, but it sounded cool in my head: The first guy posts the name of a classic rock/ classic metal band, and the next user names what modern group it reminds them of, like so

Dude number one: Metallica

Dude number two: Shadows Fall
Black Sabbath

And so on..yay or nay?

Official threads are made when there are way too many threads for a band.

For Example before the official metallica thread, more than half of the first page would be metallica threads.

The thing is there arent many threads for slayer, there is only a new one about once a week usually.
