Hey GC, check this band out. They're from around here. Very good hardcore, one of the best in the area. Others feel free to give them a listen too.

Hahaha, I checked out the band, very good stuff. I would like to hear more, or see them live. I just did my first review.

TrinityBombshell 08-18-2004 11:37 PM

I'm sorry if this has been posted already, I have read up to like page 30 and can't take anymore. But what bands would fall under "noisecore". I first heard of this possibly fake sub-genre in Guitar World where they're talking about one of Mastadons guitarists used to be in a noisecore band. If its already been covered then I'll read through the 2nd half of the posts.

BuddyBigsby 08-19-2004 01:17 AM

haha, yeah, GW was talking about Today is the Day. I thought that was pretty funny.

Noisecores kind of a fake genre... everything that gets grouped as noisecore could more accurately be classified as Technical metalcore or grindcore, depending on the band. Today is the Day however don't even sound like 'noisecore'.

I read about 2 pages of this thread and that's all I could take. Most of yall should jus end your life already. Throwdown blows ***.

Break edge.

Some fruit did mention Hit The Dizeck, props to him.

BuddyBigsby 08-19-2004 02:03 AM

Yeah but you never would have mentioned them if it wasn't for me, I think I deserve 75% of the credit

And I don't know if you saw me post it but I got downloaded one of their albums, if you want go ahead and download it off me on Soulsee.

BuddyBigsby 08-19-2004 02:10 AM

I saw but I can't, I'd feel bad. I only download albums from bands on major labels or when I want to make sure the album doesn't suck first because I'm suspicious because of the songs I've heard. And sometimes I'll make exceptions if they're broken up or the label it was released on is defunct.

getgnarly 08-19-2004 02:11 AM

Buy that **** nigga. I'm assuming you are talkin about the west coast HTD. Seen em twice, once in a tire shop a year ago and a week ago I saw them in a church.

BuddyBigsby 08-19-2004 02:13 AM

I saw them at Facedown fest and they were awesome. I would love to see them again. They bring the OG hardcore goodness.

getgnarly 08-19-2004 02:14 AM

god****ed churchies. They were supposed to be down here with The Warriors but they didn't show up.

BuddyBigsby 08-19-2004 02:16 AM

Oh man. The Warriors are so awesome. I wasn't too big on them before I saw them live, but I was really surprised.

getgnarly 08-19-2004 02:19 AM

I have the Family Matters ep on green. Buttttttt they changed styles on me but from what I've heard I still dig it. If only they still played that Blitz cover.

Let's Chop Cats! 08-19-2004 01:35 PM

People are talking about my Family Guy Hardcore band, we're blowing up and we don't have anything but guitarists.

AndHagan1 08-19-2004 02:08 PM

Are they making new Family Guy episodes?

Let's Chop Cats! 08-19-2004 02:13 PM

Yeah, summer-ish '05.

AndHagan1 08-19-2004 02:18 PM

A entire year to wait? Time to break out season 1.

Can somebody explain what slamdance, wall of death, circle pit and so on are?
I found theese somewhere else in a forum in association with hardcore.
thx[/Quote]

sorry...but
no ones gonna answear?

Let's Chop Cats! 08-19-2004 02:37 PM

Slamdance - Donno, sounds like someone who doesn't know what they're talking about

Circle Pit - More or less everyone just runs around in a circle in a mindless fashion. Kind of kicking your legs around like two steping of sorts.

Wall of Death - The band calls for the audiance to part down the middle, then charge at each other generally done at the begining of a song. For further reference, see Braveheart.

Silvermedalmafia 08-19-2004 02:48 PM

Taking Back Sunday did the Wall of Death at the Vancouver stop of the warped tour. I didn't know it (i was watching f ups) until i read it in a magazine.

PoisonParadox 08-19-2004 02:48 PM

Hahaha wall of death. That is so retarded.

Let's Chop Cats! 08-19-2004 02:49 PM

Thats lame. Suicide Machines did it last year, Sick of it All did it at Hellfest.

If I remember correctly SOIA did it first awhile ago, but I may be wrong.

AndHagan1 08-19-2004 02:50 PM

The Code did it when I saw them.

Silvermedalmafia 08-19-2004 02:53 PM

Its a common technique, kinda neat, but it is crap that TBS did it.

shane italian 08-19-2004 03:47 PM

Circle pits are only fun when they explode. I've said this before.
