Haha, so true. My friend just left school. I was bummed. She's cool and has a good band, so i'l have to go watch em whenever they play.

Then you can kick good bands who don't play the style of music you want off the open mic nights and tell them they need practice when they are better then anyone else there.....

I've ONLY just come into this thread, and we're nearly a thousand posts up. So hello everyone. Just saw open mic night - I got up and played bass with my band Autoline at an open mic night a few evenings ago, when I was hammered. Was a lot of fun, but there was a lot of loose playing... oh well :)

They told us we had 10 mins, when we should have had like 15. Everyone else got 15, but they cut us off at 10. We went back to talk to them and they said management didn't like our music and needed to practice. We were thinking about going back some time just to be d[size=2]i[/size]cks. I want to write a really complex and good tapping solo and end it by screaming "PRACTICE THIS!"

Write a song about it.

"PRACTICE THIS MOTHER****ER PRACTICE THIS ASSHOLE

That might work. Or you could just make a song that goes "**** ABC Brewery!" really fast, over and over again. It's not very tactful, but it would get your point across.
