Oh god, someone please change the title.

conniption 08-08-2006 03:38 PM
So I really love Sparrows Swarm and Sing...

Thanks, Neeshee.

-Gav
I saw them about a year ago. They play shows around here a lot.

RetiredAt21 08-08-2006 03:39 PM
I know what we should name the thread.

"Blunt Force Trauma...To My Heart :["
Srsly.

Brain Toad 08-08-2006 04:47 PM
Yeah, who changed it? I didn't.

Someone suggest lyrics to be the title of the community thread other than City of Caterpillar lyrics like we had earlier.

-Gav
You don't know there is a mod log?

Go to thread tools > Edit Thread, there will be a log of all the name changes. No wonder you had so much trouble fixing the thread titles after they were Chadisized.

And lyrics thread names = really gay. I'll change it back to Emo Community Thread.

cbmartinez 08-08-2006 04:52 PM

Hahaha, Gav sucks at modding.

Luxor 08-08-2006 05:11 PM

So it's back to normal. No more crying.

k1ckthecat 08-08-2006 05:48 PM

"Yes We Do Have An Emo Community Thread, So Do Your Worst."
And lyrics thread names = really gay.
Quoted for emphasis.

Matt OH! 08-08-2006 07:24 PM

gar why does ampere hafta put their album on gay three inch. ordered a bunch of cd's today. not that one.

its playable in cd players that are kind of a top loading system or have an adapter type tray (like in computers) where you can play a regular 5" cd or a 3" cd..... i think car cd players are the one where they never work
though you could burn it to a regular sized cd
hope this helps
andy/ampere

seriously where is the incentive to buying this...

wtf ampere.

emunity thread

i say we just call it "ect..."

cobert 08-08-2006 08:01 PM

What the hell, why would they put it on a 3"?

cbmartinez 08-08-2006 08:14 PM

It's more cr00sh/indie/emo/DIY

RetiredAt21 08-08-2006 08:21 PM
It's more cr00sh/indie/emo/DIY
MAD kvlt.

Wow 08-08-2006 08:23 PM

It's a very, very contrived DIY thing, like Chris said.

RetiredAt21 08-08-2006 08:23 PM

Which basically makes it kvlt.

cobert 08-08-2006 08:24 PM

I dont know what kvlt is.

RetiredAt21 08-08-2006 08:24 PM

How can you not know what kvlt means?

cobert 08-08-2006 08:27 PM

Like this:
I dont know what kvlt is.
RetiredAt21 08-08-2006 08:29 PM

Uhh...

It means "cult." It mostly refers to black metal bands being tr00/n3cr0/kvlt.

cobert 08-08-2006 08:35 PM

I figured it was cult, i just did see how it related to music. I see now.

RetiredAt21 08-08-2006 08:38 PM

Werd!

I'm listening to Integrity and kicking puppies! RAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

Matt OH! 08-08-2006 09:01 PM

alienating fans by making rediculous record / cd formats is so not diy

it makes me want to buy ampere cd's to smash them, dixie chix style.

conniption 08-08-2006 09:46 PM

I think the Locust had cds like that. I know a band the Heuristic that had a cd that was normal size but the outer edge was just plastic. I wonder if a 3" cd would be less expensive to make than a 5", considering they have short songs and shit and wouldn't use most of the 5 inches provided.

RetiredAt21 08-08-2006 10:44 PM

The Locust try WAAAAAAY too hard to be kvlt. F'uck the Locust.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 08-09-2006 12:55 AM

The Locust rule hard. Its a shame your Cattle Decapitation thread was closed.

bottlerocket 08-09-2006 01:04 AM
The Locust rule hard. Its a shame your Cattle Decapitation thread was closed.
Yeah I know. Since when aren't we allowed to make threads about grind bands in this forum? WTF.

Luxor 08-09-2006 10:31 AM
Yeah I know. Since when aren't we allowed to make threads about grind bands in this forum? WTF.
Yeah that was kind of lame, Gav.

You can't really close a thread with the reasoning "Not hardcore, not emo", when you leave a thread about Nas and make one about Faraquet.

bottlerocket 08-09-2006 11:29 AM

Faraquet's emo, though, and I let Reiner deal with the hardcore kids. I'll re-open it, though, since I think you guys are right on this one.

/takes back what he did

-Gav

Matt OH! 08-09-2006 11:30 AM

i'd say faraquet is "post-hardcore"

cattle decapitation still blows

bottlerocket 08-09-2006 11:37 AM

^ Either way, the point is Faraquet fits the description to be discussed in this forum but I didn't think Cattle Decapitation did but they have a point; the rap thread was left open so this can be left open, too.

-Gav

Matt OH! 08-09-2006 11:40 AM

i think that cattle decapitation maybe better fits in metal but it kind of fits enough to be in here.

i mean there have been enough grind threads that it should be allowed, even though it's not really hardcore or emo

pixiesfanyo 08-09-2006 11:41 AM

my new thread owns.

bottlerocket 08-09-2006 11:42 AM

Yeah, I agree with the second part. I always let Justin have his hysterical grind threads. I don't know why I closed it last night. I had sort of a lame night, I guess.

Tjebby 08-09-2006 11:56 AM

Dude, Gav. RABL are amazing. Thanks bro.

Matt OH! 08-09-2006 12:12 PM

wtf is the deal with those dudes

Matt OH! 08-09-2006 01:00 PM

also i really f'ucking wish i could revote for the 2005 emo album poll

now that i look back, i realize how many awesome albums lost.

daitro got two f'ucking votes.

WTF

cobert 08-09-2006 01:41 PM

My mom finally got a credit card. I shall proceed to order albums from online.

Matt OH! 08-09-2006 01:43 PM

sweet.

it owns.

cobert 08-09-2006 01:45 PM

I'll most likely get Believes in Patterns (ive downloaded a few more songs from last time i talked about them, sounds tight) and OTMOP Disco, which ive heard most of, but I dont have on a CD, and my CD player is retarded and has trouble playing burnt CD's. I might need to buy A Retrospective too, since I only have that on a burnt disc.

Matt OH! 08-09-2006 01:49 PM

some cd players can't play cdr's

holy s'hit i hate the spirt of versailles but i gotta say two is pretty damn sick.
