Hello R&M Mods....

I don't post in R&M much in general, but I do post in The Who thread regularly. So, I am wondering if we can apply a name to the thread? It's well on it's way to 1000 posts and is a really good thread that started as an FA by Lunch as you well know, but it's really flourished in the 11 months or so it's been around.

Anyway, The Who will be touring this year, a new record is coming along, and the thread is alive and well. It is my favorite place to post in all of MX. So I guess that is my motive for asking. I just think this band deserves a thread title.

Lunch won't ask, because he'll say it's "whoring" his thread. That dood, man. Drives me crazy. And we had some discussion about it in the thread, but without final say or empowerment, what the hell can we do? So I come here.

I had a few ideas. Lunch liked one of them and I would like to honor that. So I'm requesting that "Featured Artist #17 - The Who" be changed to "Hope I Die Before I Get Old (The Who)" Has a nice, if cliched ring to it. :)

Oh, and I liked "These Kids Are Alright (The Who)". Maybe we can rotate some titles in and out as the months go by? I know they've done that in the Punk forum. I'll check back in six months....but for now, we'll go with what the TS likes. Because, well, it's Lunch. And I can't really argue with that.

So if it's possible, please feel free. Would be nice for the thread and R&M in general.

EDIT: If "Hope I Die".....makes the thread title too long, "Before I Get Old (The Who)" would be fine, too. That's the title of a prominent Who biography.

He said he would be busy and counting would take some time. Keep in mind that HE started RMOTM and -unlike the polls- it has nothing to do with the mods.

He also said he'd be gone for the weekend or something along those lines so we just need to sit tight, I think.

I think a mod should keep a close eye at the the recent poll thread. It's disintegrated into a Tool vs. CoB argument that has little, if anything, to do with the actual polls. I'm also strongly against the posters that go into PF's thread just to complain about how the polls are stupid or popularity contests and they suck.

That's just my two cents, but I think these things are making the polls a far worse experience than they should be.

Personally, I'm not surprised as to who the more egregious offenders were, but yeah, if there are any further problems, I'm sure someone will take care of it.
