Boris - Akuma No Uta and Beulah's When Your Heartstrings Break. Not something I listen to on a daily basis, but at the moment it's making me smile. A lot. |
( By the way can someone tell me how to pronounce "Cocteau?)
Just coc-toe, so far as I know. |
Operation Ivy - Energy
Ted Leo/the Pharmacists - Hearts of Oak |
The Rakes, i would describe them as brit garage rock.
Say Anything, indie emo pop maybe The Junior Varsity, mainstream sounding pop rock (sorta fall out boy'ish) Wolf Parade, indie math rock Little Brazil, similar to Desaparecidos only less anguished/noisy |
Ted Leo/the Pharmacists - Hearts of Oak
ever since i listened to Shake The Sheets i've been a big Ted Leo fan. i've listened to all of them except the first, and they're all good. my favorite track of theirs is probably St. John The Divine |

To many people it's such a dead technology they'll give it to you for free just to clear up a foot of storage space. You might even get some free records in the mix. That's how I got mine, no free records though. :( |
I'm currently listening to Opeth's Damnation for the first time, and after being slightly underwhelmed, I think I'm starting to understand why they have won such acclaim, particularly the notoriety of this album. "Death Whispered A Lullaby" is a dark, evocative song, and Akerfeldt's clean vocals work excellent... I think I really like this song. This is approximately my first real exposure to Opeth.
I'm still on my Post Rock tear, and I've found a new band to direct a lot of energies at - yndi halda. Their EP, enjoy eternal bliss, I found to be mind blowing. I'm also hooked on Tom Lerher recently. Funny, funny man. |
what's your electronic mail address again, sylvia?
|
according to my decoding results I shall be sending an email to sylvia.plath at google electronic mailing service dot com stat
I listened to the first track, the aptly titled "29", then Itunes fritzed out on me and I don't want to reload it or find my CD player. It was a decent song. |
That's what I heard too, but you'll be able to hear it for yourself once you check your email stat
Anyone else up for it, while I'm awake? |
Just discovered Deerhoof and Blonde Redhead.
Yay. |
Yay. What do you think of the new Kayo Dot?
|
I've been digging Of Montreal.
Ba ba ba. |
