fishbulb 04-16-2008 06:32 PM

Wasn't it on Google Maps?

Seafroggys 04-16-2008 06:33 PM

Yeah I remember what he was talking about but can't remember the name.

Girlfriend is coming over in the next 20 minutes. Longest span of time between seeing her thus far (17 days, the horror!). My dad's about to leave to pick up my mom, so this should be good.

Win A Rabbit 04-16-2008 07:17 PM

so i went and got my eyes checked, and it turns out i'm extremely far-sighted, and by the time i'm 40 i'll have to wear grossly thick lenses to correct it, which doesn't happen to most people until 70 or so. so yeah, when i'm 40 i'll have to hold things as far away as possible and squint to be able to make it out.

and i went to keep my friend company today while he got his tattoo shaded, was pretty fun. it looks way way way better with shading than it did before. i took pics, will upload them prob after my meeting tonight.

NewMetman 04-16-2008 08:44 PM

New weezer album single leaked, sounds alright but i hope the rest of the album is better. Anyone else a fan?

Janeway 04-16-2008 08:55 PM

It's also where Bjork was born.

And where Bobby Fischer won the World Chess Championship against Boris Spassky, and where he later returned to and died a bitter, crazy old man.

I live roughtly 2,635 miles away from Reykjavík, around a dying, economically depressed city in New York that has one of the highest rates of thyroid disease in the country, and where everybody just mopes around, hoping that someday the whales will come back.

Edit:

http://www.myspace.com/ghammercrust

The drummer is Japanese, and her name is Risa.

Mr Pink 04-16-2008 09:27 PM

Bobby Fischer was my neighbor in Pasadena in the mid 80s.

SkaRabbit 04-16-2008 09:30 PM

Hi haven't been here for like a year. Just bought a few things off the net and thought of this place..

1 x Vic Firth Thomas Lang Sticks - Thought i'd give them a whirl.

1 x Puresound Blasters Snare Wires 13" 20 strands - I had these before for my 14" and loved them. Had to get them for my 13".

1 x Aquarian Hi-Energy 13" Snare Drum head - I got recommended this by a disco style drummer and since i have been taking a few disco beats and playing around with them i thought i'd give it a try.

How is everyone?!

Sunshine 04-16-2008 09:32 PM

I just saw a screening of Forgetting Sarah Michaels.

Good movie.
I didn't know you could have that many full-on cockshots in a movie made for theaters.

Oh holy **** what's up dude?

I remember chilling at the other forum that you created a way long time ago.

Since you've been gone Josiah's been banned and i just realized that Phil seems to have disappeared.

SkaRabbit 04-16-2008 10:22 PM

Hey dude! Great to see some people i remember still posting.

Josiah finally got banned? What was the reason in the end? He was a bit cocksure but posted some valuable things

Haha, i remember that forum. I swear Phil turned it into something else now.. some game forum?:S

Anything new with you these days?

fishbulb 04-16-2008 10:31 PM

There was a full week of Josiah posting ban-able things and finally one of the mods had enough. Funny part about this is that a couple weeks ago accounts with hardly any posts were posting exactly like Josiah with names that related to him. One was OzzytheDoggy and it was well known that Josiah's dog was named Ozzy. It was great.

If you didn't know, Billdrum and Det Nosnip (or Nosip, i forget) are now moderators.

As for me i got a new drum set from drummguy on these forums, 2002 Paiste Heavy ride 20", 17" A Custom crash, Vault hats, a free 6" A splash from Mr. Pink.

I even made a metronome mount to encourage me to use it more.

That's practically all that's new drumming wise.

Life-wise, i'm a Senior in high school (yay) and got accepted to Cal Poly, a pretty highly regarded school so i'm excited.

And one more thing about the forums: The reputation system is back in effect so switch to the orange skin (bottom left of all pages) and you can see your green bars. The system is only used to show how popular people are.

Win A Rabbit 04-16-2008 11:24 PM

yeah so i was frustrated at our meeting tonight and was like "okay you guys need to stfu and we need to start doing this shi"

like, it's 10 days away, we don't know what order the bands will be playing in, we don't have a sound tech, we don't have posters out, etc, and they're all "oshi we have more money to spend we should get a bouncy castle and like 1000 beach balls and we need to go get custommade hacky sacks because the ones from the dollar store suck"

yeah it was pretty lame. and there are kids that have wanted to sit in for one of our meetings and help us out, and they were like "ohya i'll do this this this and this" and i'm like "oh yeah? you're going to set up a meeting with the police department before friday? you, a 13-year-old kid, is going to convince every policeman/woman to meet in your living room so you can brief them on all this stuff that you don't know how we're going about doing it? ummya no"

Janeway 04-16-2008 11:31 PM

I'm bored. It's only 1:30.

I've been listening to Burzum and Kraftwerk for like two hours. I still don't like Burzum, but I still like Kraftwerk.

I might as well go to bed, but I feel cheated out of the two hours of doing nothing before my usual bedtime.

TTTSNB 04-16-2008 11:32 PM

Listen to Burzum to fall asleep.

Loving that finish man. The kit looks sweet. Metronome stand. i might have to make one of those! how much you pay for it?

Drum wise. I'm still playing a Mapex m birch. Love the bass drum on it, not so much the toms. Black panther snare. Big dog hardware and pedals. I need to work on my dynamics and swung grooves. since playing faster ska/punk and drum and bass i have stiffend up too much.

Life - im 19 now, looking for a rubbish job(aside from booking shows) to accompany touring etc. Living on my own now.

Cool rep.. Apparently i have a little bit. lol

an_original_name 04-17-2008 01:58 AM

you have to stay positive.
