What should be my next review?

Dragonforce - Inhuman Rampage (Japanese Edition)

or

Macho Man Randy Savage - Be a Man!

I could explain it, but Wiki (as always) does a better job:

I've got their album Defying The Rules and I love it.

EDIT;

MY MEDIOCRE REVIEW OF THE MACHO MAN RAP ALBUM IS NOW UP AND RUNNING. IT HAS NOT BEEN SPELL CHECKED PROPERLY, BUT MACHO MAN WOULD HAVE IT NO OTHER WAY...SNAP INTO A SLIM-JIM.

 I enjoyed reading that.
I remember a Spawn cartoon on the Sci-fi channel. It was cool.
You know what I found out the other day, the Spawn character was created by Todd Mcfarlene (I misspelled the last name I know) who is brother of Seth Mcfarlene the creater and writer of Family Guy. Todd Mcfarlene also used to write Spiderman comics and is resposible for the bad guy Venom (I always thought he was cool). That family has done such great things for the animated world.

Stormrider 02-06-2006 08:39 PM

I love Spawn. Anybody seen the movie ?

jpj 02-06-2006 08:42 PM

I used to love that movie when I was little. I can't believe my parents let me watch it.

Steerpike 02-06-2006 08:42 PM

Movie was okay. Not that great, but not that bad either. Kind of a slow first act, though.

NP: Slough Feg - Brave Connor Mac

God damn Slough Feg are awesome. This whole song is a Celtic-influenced tune about a gory battle from the Ulster Cycle.

Dr. Jake Destructo 02-06-2006 08:42 PM

Hey all you CR guys, how come you never told me how cool Little Feat was before today?

NP: Little Feat - Waiting for Columbus

I really like the sound of this stuff. It's kind of like Jeff Beck meets The Grateful Dead. Huzzah!

Cain 02-06-2006 08:48 PM

Just saw Land of the Dead. Was really cool. I think Dawn of the Dead is still better at getting Romero's vision across, though: easily the most accomplished at drawing the distinctions between the evil humans, the good humans, and the impulsive, natural, and blameless nature of the zombies.

Too bad it was remade the way it was, I think Romero should remake it with the tools he has at his disposal currently. It would be so much better than the greyface stuff of movies past.

I do have to say, though, the scene in "Land" where one of the guys gets his face ripped off is utterly fantastic. And then there's the part where the girl's belly button gets popped because a zombie tore her ring out. Gaagh. So ghoulish and great.

Stormrider 02-06-2006 08:50 PM

Yeah that movie is great. Very gory.

Hey Steerpike, is Slough Feg Power Metal ?

/me is curious

The nearly-headless zombie was a nice touch, too.
Yeah that movie is great. Very gory.

Sort of. They're a real genre-bender. Metal Archives lists them as Folk Traditional Doom/Power metal.

Their distinguishing feature is the heavy Celtic influence combined with Iron Maiden-esque riffing.

Stormrider 02-06-2006 09:04 PM

Ah ok. I'll check them out. I'll check out Celtic at the same time.

Mind naming a few good songs ? Thanks.

Steerpike 02-06-2006 09:10 PM

They're hard to track down. Ask Stoic for some songs. Some of my favorites are Brave Connor Mac, Sky Chariots, Gene-ocide, and Troll Cave.

They're on the poll for a spotlight and are tied with Buddy Holly right now. You can always pop in and vote.

nobodyblossomsforever 02-06-2006 09:13 PM

Hmmm..I'm feeling interested. I need to check these guys out!

 The fact that you chose to review Macho Man's album is fricken' awesome. What's next? Rick Moranis's upcoming acoustic/folk/country CD?

And thanks for the songs.

I was thinking of doing Steven Segals album. Nah, it'll be Dragonforce next but unlike my Macho Man review I'll probably spend more than 5 minutes on it.

Shred Danson 02-06-2006 09:31 PM

I think Steven Segal, Chuck Norris, and Clint Eastwood should do a collaborative album together. Imagine the possibilities.

Speaking of celeb's playing music I heard in one of Sammual L Jackson's upcoming movies hes going to play a guitarist I think and is actually going to be playing and writting material for the movie. I love Sammy he is so freaking awsome.

He's not flaming, he's defending his opinion which you wouldn't stop puting down because you have some sort of obsession with the band.

He's flaming my review for containing 'immature interpretations' when they've been discussed with the bassist who writes all the lyrics. How did that assclown even get modded?

Join the club. Very very few people like him around sputnik.

Okay...so I'm downloading a HIM album right now. This is the weirdest night I've had in a long time. Plus I didn't get to talk to my girlfriend at all today, so I feel terribly lonely as well. :(

That's not flaming, that's criticizing. Flaming would saying that your review just plain sucks without explanation. Quit getting so worked up.

Love Metal

I remember hearing them a long time ago when I was new to them. I downloaded some random songs and actually liked some of them, but I was turned off by the imagery and constant whining. My girl loves them too, which is mainly why I'm giving them another chance.

Solution: call him a faggot. That rule only applies in his forums.
