Naw it was the 27th Saturday.....I celebrated:smoke:.....if you know what I mean.;)
Hey guys this may sound random but I need some good Gov't Mule reccomendations for Cds, which ones should I get to start off my collection? (My mom wants my Xmas List)
That's funny, I was just asking the same thing a few days ago. People that would know recommended either Dose or the Deep End Volume 1. I got Deep End Vol. 1 and really liked it.

thickasabrick 11-29-2004 08:51 PM
I dont have any new rock. It's all classic for me.:). Nevermind I acctually do.

What I meant is I dont have any new rock I dont like.
i would probably buy a Coldplay or Maroon 5 cd if i saw one for cheap. the new U2 one as well. but ya....i only have about twenty cds, and they are all post 90's music.

we have this one Billy Joel cd that i would always sing to when i was really little. my parents bought me this playskool microphone and stand and it claps if you press a button. i would always put on billy joel shows for them in my living room. man i was a loser.

Good Man.

Woodstock 11-29-2004 08:52 PM
thats pretty cheap for a fat strat compared to an epi. i just plain like the tone of epis, and how they play. i have an epi acoustic/electric. its basically just as versatile as an electric. it even has a cutaway for playing on the 15th + frets. its my baby. i prefer acoustic, but there are times when you need electric so its good to have one or five around.
Good, somebody who prefers acoustic over electric. One or five, I wish.

I listened to Tommy when I was younger, so I am proud of that.

ha ya. i used to have 2 electrics, but i sold one because i really didn't play electric enough to need 2. and i don't wanna buy another acoustic because i am so attached to mine. it comes with me wherever i go in my house, even when i dont intend on playing it. its on my lap right now, i am playing Across The Universe. i love that intro.

Alright thanks, I'll put 'em both ont he list moms paying for them not me :D

thickasabrick 11-29-2004 08:56 PM

which day was hendrix's birthday? was the 27th saturday? i suppose i "celebrated" too, although i didn't realize it was his birthday.

and i borrowed the Let It Be..Naked cd from my guitar teacher. i have never heard the entire Let It Be album, just certain songs here and there. i really liked it though, great collection of songs. isn't it weird how Sgt Peppers was so "psychadelic" and Let It Be is quite the opposite. Maybe it just sounds that way on the Naked album.

Good thinking.

Broken Arrow 11-29-2004 09:00 PM

germaine 11-29-2004 09:07 PM

The Beatles were one of the fastest developing band. Sgt. Pepper was really the peak of their success, but Let it Be was a basic look into the breakup of the band. So it makes sense that Let it Be is not as happy and brilliant as Sgt. Pepper.

Here's the picture Woodstock. I also took a picture of my CD's for this one project at school :).

That's a lot of cds!

New avatar.

Badmoon 11-29-2004 10:00 PM

Here's a Badmoon reccomendation from the heart.

The Grateful Dead - Reckoning

It's live, it's all acoustic, and it's very clean. They play many song you rarely hear live. Some being "Cassidy", "Dire Wolf". They also do many covers and traditional tunes. Like "Tom Dooley". It use to be on the site, but that's gone. I'll sample this weekend, or some other time.

mrcalzoon 11-29-2004 10:18 PM

Paranoidd 11-30-2004 09:45 AM

gmoneyguy 11-30-2004 09:57 AM

Paranoidd 11-30-2004 10:00 AM

DSOTM just finished...Saucerful of secrets right now.
DSOTM just finished...Saucerful of secrets right now.
It's more psychish.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 11-30-2004 01:40 PM

Saucerful of Secrets isn't that good they were still developing their style from the recent loss of Syd Barrett. "Jugband Blues" is great (by Syd Barrett) though.

zventon 11-30-2004 02:11 PM

I like classic rock a lot, but for sum reason, i like even the NEW metallica

zventon 11-30-2004 02:32 PM

Yesterday, lunch998 wuz talkin about how he's a drummer, and how it means he has no musical talent, and then people were makin drummer jokes. I know im a little late on this, but i found this funny drummer joke, and I think u'll like it.

Q: How can you make a drummer slow down?
A: Put a sheet of music in front of him

Q #2: How can you make that drummer stop?
A: Put notes on it!

magicbus 11-30-2004 02:33 PM
Saucerful of Secrets isn't that good they were still developing their style from the recent loss of Syd Barrett. "Jugband Blues" is great (by Syd Barrett) though.
I agree. Its not the greatest cd by them, and I really like the version of Saucerful of Secrets on Ummagumma better. On the way to school I listened to The Wall :thumb:

Morons aren't allowed to make threads about good bands, and have good albums for avatars.

Does Pink Floyd have like a complete studio recordings like the Zeppelin? Because I'm really starting to get addicted to them, and I don't want to buy anymore if I can get them all together.

Broken Arrow 11-30-2004 04:04 PM

Badmoon, why do you have a Phish poster just lying around?

I noticed it in your picture.:)

It's from the a guitar magazine. It's small and I haven't put it up yet. I also didn't see anyone mention the background Terrapin Station poster, I have yet to hang.
Q: How can you make a drummer slow down?

That's a good one! Even though drum sheet music is the easiest to read.
I just ordered my harmonicas!!
What kind, and keys?

And jpj, Floyd doesn't have a complete studio recordings thing.

BUT IN OTHER NEWS. Led Zeppelin III is really cool. It has a folk/bluegrass theme kinda.
