I dunno, I wasn't too big on their old stuff, but their new cd is really good. Their leads sound a lot like Chuck though...which is awesome. **** yous

The new Decrepit Birth is really good, ditching Tim Yeung and getting half of Odious Mortem was a good idea. It's still not something I'll listen too much, but it feels relatively fresh.

There are way too many leads at parts though.

I still need to get it. I've heard 4 songs off of it and they're all really killer.

I was listening to Cannibal Corpse and wondering, why would a dormant body burst? Dormant just means asleep. I think they meant to use some other word for where when your dead and all the gasses build up in your body until you explode (when your body is just sitting somewhere for a while of course, not in a morgue or something).

Read the lyrics. Alex Webster uses dictionaries and thesauruses when he writes lyrics, so he wouldn't make a mistake like that.

yea they really butchered his vocal sound, i dunno how cause bill sounded really brutal on and time begins.

theres not even that much layering. its just his vocals in general are super middy and it clutters the mix cause the guitar sound is really middy as well.

Icons of Evil is really boring. I was hesitant to get their other stuff because of how lame it was, but I'm pretty surprised by this one tbh.

Dechristianize is really all you need.

Even Dechristianize is lame. It has potential but not enough to warrant 8 minute songs.

Thoughts on Dawn of the Apocalypse? I think the songs on this one are too long too, but they aren't the same song played twice like on Icons of Evil (haven't heard Dechristianize). They don't repeat nearly as much.
