It looked kinda bootleg from the cover. I didn't buy it because I had no money but I get my paycheck real soon. Anyway I don't know how I could rip DVD's to my computer....

denboy 07-28-2005 12:19 PM

DVDdecrypter and Auto Gordion Knot.. Hehe

kurrpt 07-28-2005 12:21 PM

Moses 07-28-2005 12:23 PM

There's been so much ****-knocking about the new album, nobody knows what to think.

YouGottaBeCrazy 07-28-2005 12:27 PM

OMG, that spanish Tool message board...did anyone look at the other threads? They have the AIC w/ guest vocalist Maynard MP3s. I've been waiting to hear them for a long time. Not to mention some rumors and such. That is...if you can understand spanish.

Moses 07-28-2005 12:28 PM

I heard those. He pretty much did them justice.

Dried Muffin Remnants 07-28-2005 12:30 PM

Hey...did that Lateralus vinyl ever come out?

denboy 07-28-2005 12:32 PM
Hey...did that Lateralus vinyl ever come out?
Yes.. The release date has been confirmed.. But I can't remember when it was
Wait... ... .. I just checked toolband.. .. .. You should try that too

Dried Muffin Remnants 07-28-2005 12:33 PM

I thought it was supposed to have come out on the 26th? In other words, it's out now?

You need a Diezel too.

Man, I really want one of those amps...

Kage 07-28-2005 12:45 PM

Nah, you don't need a Diezel when you have a Mesa. Mesas will get you anything you want. I'm jealous of you, kurrpt.

hehe, well theres no reason to be jealous. If you are in the PA area, stop buy, check out my 2500 worth of axes, and go ape sh!t

Kage 07-28-2005 12:53 PM

Bah. I'm upgrading my rig over time, so if I stick to my plan, by the time I'm 25 I think I should have a pretty amazing rig.

My next step is a Parker Nitefly Mojo for about $1800, then will come a Mesa amp.

kurrpt 07-28-2005 12:54 PM

i actually got a kick arse fukking deal on the head...

Mesa Mark IV

864 USD :thumb:

my cab is just a 4X12...

ive been using my schecter c1-FR quite a lot, but for TOoL i use my Gibson LP classic, which is fukking phenomenal. I have too many dam FX, and i havent really sorted them out cause its a bit overwhelming. Ive been working on technique hard core for the past 3 months, and havent really been working on covers. I play the standard TOoL riff every now and again, but i usually dont leave my axe in drop D that often

they look eccentric, but they look amazing at the same time. I heard some person flaming that guitar.... and i totally called them out on it. You try one out yet?

Kage 07-28-2005 12:57 PM

Shit, a Mark IV for 864? How'd you get that? That's my plan, too, to just buy a head and use any cab (4x12 would be cool, but maybe just a 2x12) with Vintage 30s loaded in there.

Right now I'm on an Ibanez which has served me well for many years, but I can't wait to get the Parker. That thing is phenomenal in my opinion. It feels unlike any other guitar I've played, and sounds amazing.

Moses 07-28-2005 12:57 PM

Seriously try not to double post it doesn't annoy me that much but the mods are really cracking down on that stuff. Just trying to keep you outta trouble. :thumb:

At first I didn't like the look of it, but it's really grown on me and ever since I played on one with my guitar instructor, I've been set on getting one. I love the way they feel and the sound is awesome. I'll end up loading it with a DiMarzio Tone Zone most likely.

haha, well, i have been banned for double posting before. It seems ridiculous, but it doesnt bother me. I have another account that i can use, and i dont let THEM affect me since i consider myself a genuinely good poster....

but i do appreciate your concern for my well being, non-banage...

seriously

Kage 07-28-2005 01:00 PM

So, again, where did you get such a great deal on the Mesa?

i just looked on ebay, non-stop.

It was either winning that auction, or getting a local single rectifier for 725 with road case.....

i won the mark IV, so i went with that.

I had to buy the pedal separate, which took patience, but overall it was very very worth the wait and trouble

kurrpt 07-28-2005 01:02 PM
So, again, where did you get such a great deal on the Mesa?
posted after the fact, sorry, im always at work on MX, doing about 6 things at once, with my head in the clouds constantly

Kage 07-28-2005 01:03 PM

Yeah, no kidding. I need to find some good deals on Ebay, I never have. Then again, I need to get an account there as well.

Hopefully I'll get my Parker for around 1000 or so used, and then be farther on my way to get the Mesa. A Mark IV would be amazing, but I might get a Dual Rectifier.

kurrpt 07-28-2005 01:06 PM

well, if you want me to help you, im quite the Ebay sniper :thumb:

clearvision 07-28-2005 01:37 PM

Haha cheers AJIG, the only critiscism aimed at me was mixing.

I actually didn't mix it at all, all volumes are original etc. I need 4 parts to mix properly with volume envelopes and stuff, i have mixed my gutiar part for aenima properly, but the backing track is pretty dodgy on that one. I thought the backing track for stinkfist was better, though i don't really know what happens towards the end, just before the last chorus, the parts are tough to follow.

I need to do some vocals, but I never seem to have a free house anymore :(

Any other opinions on my recording?

Faith, that would be great if you could do aenima :)

Expresso 07-28-2005 03:33 PM
are there drums on stinfist? or are they joz's midi drums?

was "part of me" played to the track?
was Aenima played to the track?
im gonna try to record today (using my new sound card :) )
Clearvision's is using Joz's midi drums, however
I recorded a Stinkfist drum track, and you should all be using it, too! :P

/eats....i mean, downloads.

I tried doing stinkfist on FL the other day, this'll show me how far off I was

clearvision 07-28-2005 03:40 PM

That was top notch, it syncs up perfectly to my track, if i had bass i could mix it up a treat!

I was gonna buy a bass the other day, but the price shot :(

I may have another go at convincing my mum to purchase me one.

Adam Jones is GOD 07-28-2005 03:42 PM

Yeah, that was tight (I always feel wrong saying that).

Ill steal my sisters bass one day, and race Rob to become the next *insert trendy skilled bassist everyone agrees on here*

clearvision 07-28-2005 03:45 PM

Flea?

How hard can bass be, honestly? you play one string at a time....

Tell that to Les Claypool and Victor Wooten, or a jazz/classical bassist.

Yes, I realize we aren't playing jazz.

Adam Jones is GOD 07-28-2005 03:48 PM

Yeah, its just the instrument for the lazy guitarist.

"Oooo, look at me, I dont need 6 strings, I need 4 fatty ones so they're easier to hit. I follow the guitar line like a sheep."

(I hope any bassist reading this brings a large salt shaker)

And I was joking guys. Please dont knife me

JACO!
oops he's an ***

Thanks guys, yeah, i recorded it a week ago, sent it to Jake before going on vacation, I just got back yesterday night.

Moses 07-28-2005 03:49 PM

Jazz bass is way harder than rock/metal guitar.

To Expresso:

You can't tell Jaco that because he's dead. :upset:
