HELLFEST '05
Sovereign Bank Arena
Trenton, NJ

Good, that's only an hour or so from me.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-10-2005 03:51 PM

50 minutes. I'll probably make the trip. There was too many bad metal bands last year that I didn't want to see.

NewKindofArmy03 05-10-2005 03:54 PM

Yeah, but if the line-up is like last year, i'll still probably go because they had a bunch of good bands too.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-10-2005 03:55 PM

Yeah. If With Honor or Bane alone is playing it's enough to make me go.

NewKindofArmy03 05-10-2005 05:09 PM

Mapquest says only 27 minutes from my house, that'll be easy.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-10-2005 05:34 PM

New Saves the Day album this fall.

Valuum-Frenzy 05-10-2005 05:38 PM

As I Lay Dying have their moments.

NewKindofArmy03 05-10-2005 05:39 PM

I don't like the new Ramallah songs at all.

Valuum-Frenzy 05-10-2005 05:41 PM

I ****ing hate IKTPQ live but i love them on CD, i guess its the whole planning on when to jump around, they're kinda lowering themselves to bands like Simple Plan and Grinspoon.

oopyman 05-10-2005 05:43 PM
I don't like the new Ramallah songs at all.
When I saw them they played one. I liked it a lot.

Sounds very nu-metally to me.

The song Kill a Celeberity (I think that's what it's called) was really good.

BuddyBigsby 05-10-2005 06:03 PM

I actually really like that song.

cbmartinez 05-10-2005 06:20 PM

Sweet, Hellfest is 15 minutes away from me.

CONNER_NWHC 05-10-2005 06:31 PM

Is Norma Jean and Atreyu playing?

cbmartinez 05-10-2005 06:32 PM

Well if they're not, then I'm definitely not going man. But I heard In Stride and Blue Monday are playing!

Blue Monday probly is playing.

I just got my CD today,it took over a month. Sick shirt with it.

cbmartinez 05-10-2005 06:35 PM

Awesome.

That Ramallah song is okay. The piano in the chorus adds a cool touch to it.

shane italian 05-10-2005 07:23 PM

So I'm torn between liking new Seventh Star or just writing it off as lame...

sketchyjoe 05-10-2005 07:26 PM

Everyone should copy my user title.

NewKindofArmy03 05-10-2005 07:50 PM

I hate when good bands play with bands I could care less about. From Ashes Rise is playing with Leftover Crack and the Subhumans and unless RAMBO are the 1 TBA, i'm not going.

obese_breasts 05-10-2005 08:12 PM

I will Joe.
Today we all found out that a friends life was tragically cut short. While riding home from work Brandie Bailey ( sister of Bailey from Figure Four / Endless Fight) was struck and killed by a sanitation truck. She touched all of our lives in a special way. For her family all we can do is pray. Shattered Realm, Nothing Left To Mourn and F...S...U... New Jersey would like to ask anyone who can to help by coming out to BLOOMFIELD AVE CAFE AND STAGE in montclair nj,on Friday may 27th. We will be raising money to help out the Bailey family in thier time of need. There will be places to give donations at the Shattered Realm, Nothing Left To Mourn merch areas, and at the door. Both of our bands will also be contributing all of the money we make at this show to help her family. We hope that in this time all of you take the minute to read how she touched so many and cherish the time we have here.

<3, I cannot wait. Even if it is as weird as In Reverie, it's still better than 99% of pop-punk nowadays

Let's Chop Cats! 05-10-2005 08:41 PM

Yeah.

That sucks that she died. I'll be at the SR/NLTM show, can't make the show this Sunday at CB's, someone remind me to watch the webcast.

obese_breasts 05-10-2005 11:30 PM

I like the new avatar Reiner.

AndreTheHyena 05-10-2005 11:32 PM

Today at work, I was listening to At the Drive-In and this old dude came in and was like, "Nice music, bud". I thought he was just being sarcastic, but it turned out he really dug them.

CONNER_NWHC 05-10-2005 11:44 PM

Victim in pain is the best NYHC song ever.

oopyman 05-10-2005 11:46 PM
I like the new avatar Reiner.
Yeah, I like it too. I have the shirt and the enormous poster of it.

SubtleDagger 05-11-2005 04:27 AM

Guys, I recorded a grind/technical weird song, so gimme a critique would you?

JimbobTheSquirrel 05-11-2005 08:34 AM

I didn't wanna start a thread 'bout this, but I'm still trying to figure it out:
Minor Threat
At The Drive-In
Queen Adreena
I like these bands. Be they hardcore/related to hardcore in some way (post hardcore...?)

Minor Threat are hardcore obviously, and I've never heard ATDI or Queen Adreena

AndreTheHyena 05-11-2005 01:04 PM

I'm pretty sure At the Drive-In are post-hardcore, but I'm probably wrong.

cbmartinez 05-11-2005 01:07 PM

Yeah, they are post-hardcore/indie. I heard post-punk being thrown around too.
