KILO5203 01-13-2005 10:03 PM

Thrash_The_Sabbath 01-13-2005 10:43 PM
i think a return to the thrash metal that they helped create would be a huge come back, it would definately make up for st anger.
Oh **** straight...that's what they should do. Give us another thrash album then finally another black album.
can anyone in here play dyers eve?
Yes. It's not that hard, just practice it for a while.

its not hard??
I can barley get all the riffs right, let alone even atempt the beginning of the solo. How long did it take you to learn it??
btw, for the beginning of the solo, is it just (last 3 strings)
-------12------12-
----12-------12---
-14b------14b------
because that seems to easy and slow for it.

Leper 01-14-2005 12:23 AM

I've found most of Metallicas songs are not overly difficult to play, my only problem is that my neck tends to get sore from looking down at the tabs because the songs worth playing are so bloody long.

Leper 01-14-2005 12:26 AM

the rythm guitar i mean, not the solos, i don't even bother trying them. lol

djilali86 01-14-2005 02:19 AM

About all this talk about St. Anger. St. Anger isnīt a bad album, in my opinion anyway. The song St. Anger is one of their best ever and Frantic and Invicible Kid is two great songs. Its a little System over them, and I mean a little. Not to mention Unamed Feeling.

supra_speed 01-14-2005 02:57 AM

Metallica went straight down after Burton died....if he was alive the thrashy leet masters would still be at their best. hopefully theyll make a come back

...and justice for all i guess........

hammet_ownz 01-14-2005 03:45 AM

not meaning to come in late, but the question of who had the best guitars caught my eye, and IMO i can honestly say i cant go past the wavecaster from the load tour. i also loves kirks quote 'i play this in the most evil of all songs, am i evil, and i am left with a real dumb looking guitar in a really heavy song'

English has nothing to do with it. Learn how to make proper sentences. There's no need for a million little dots inbetween every word you type. Take Care :)

J McT 01-14-2005 11:48 AM

Uh... Anyways, let's get back to Metallica.
meh, ill just do some mix and match with both tabs
I own the music book for the Master of Puppets album. It's tabbed by the pros, transcribed from the original music. It has the tab as well as the music. I've yet to find any tab on the web that's even remotely similar as far as accuracy or even being remotely correct.

If you want accurate tab for any song, the last place to find it is some random place on the web. The best place to find it is in a music store in a book. That's my advice.

mxtabs is good for the popular easy songs. Most if not the majority of tabs on any website that allows people to upload tab is wrong and badly wrong at that.

If you wanna just wing it like most people do, then use online tabs. If you really wanna learn a song to bask in the awesome playing of Cliff Burton, go buy a book. If you do buy the book, do what I suggest. Compare it to any of the tab online. You'll never trust online tab again.

EMILY 01-14-2005 12:31 PM

what do you like best?
"the unforgiven"
VS
"the unforgiven II"

Rasta Rocker 01-14-2005 12:40 PM

i like the unforgiven better...but it's still not one of the high points in metallica's careers IMO

Huber 01-14-2005 01:19 PM

Unforgiven II is a good song, but The Ungorgiven is better.

btoto 01-14-2005 02:27 PM

Unforgiven II pwns in any way. Lyrics are better, music is better, song construction is better, Jaymz sings much much better and the solo is much more beautiful !

btoto 01-14-2005 02:45 PM
Ah, beautiful!! Much thanks. And to repay you, I will do one favor. You want anybody's knees broke?
Oh no man. It's cool.......well, can you steal for me Kirk's ESP??? :p

Mister_Che 01-14-2005 03:09 PM

I'll get to it.

btoto 01-14-2005 03:45 PM

Arrrrgggg anyway, I'm sure in a couple of days I'll kill my rhythm guitairst/vocalist ! That guy is so lazy. We all agreed to play more of 'tallica stuff and me (lead guitar) and our drummer worked so hard on so many songs.

But this singer didn't learn anything again. He know's only a few 'tallica songs and he's asking us to play placebo, sum41 and stuff like that. He's a good guitairst but I can't stand playing punk rock anymore. Don't get me wrong I love punk, but I love listening to it....not playing :upset:

My drummer bitc.hed at me for getting a guitar instead of an amp for my bass. We have enough amps, I don't see why he must talk down to me. Dam.n is it just me or is it hard to find a band where you get along well with everyone in it?
