BTW, I'm going through existential angst'd.
I'm lying here trying to sleep and I can't help but wonder what just may well happen down the road, I'll be a mediocre person living out my life in a mediocre town working at a mediocre job. Trapped in Nowheresville USA punching a clock at some white-collar job, wondering what the hell went wrong. After all, only the rich can do what they want. The rest of us have to settle. I hate it when I'm like this. |
That state of mind sucks shit.
The remedy: post on MX till you fall asleep. You'll feel better in the morning. As for me: I'm gonna drink a Pepsi and read about nechrophilia. |
Life is useless
Just because you aren't doing what would be considered by most to be exemplary doesn't mean you can't be thrilled with a "mediocre" life. |
What's going on, Vince? Haven't seen you in a while. Ray, your mediorce life is my goal for life. I dream of a "get your hands dirty" job in a small/medium town, Sunday football games with the fellas, go to the bar on fridays...My desired life is just your run of the mill, nothing fancy life.
|
Hah, well sadly I'm going to bed here shortly as well, but not much has been up, just lots of work.
My dream life changes all of the time. I think though, that I'm glad I don't know what I want from life yet, because once I do know, I can only be disappointed not getting it. Flexibilty keeps contentment maximized. |

Unless shit really goes down the drain, I don't see myself having anything less than I previously described. So, anything better than that will be bonus. |

I would consider living a life that would not be personally fulfilling to be a "mediocre" one. |
When I grow up, I want to be the enchanting wizard of rhythm.

Right, but who's to say you wouldn't enjoy living a so-called average life? So I'm going to bed, but ponder that hah. |
Well, as i have two more GCSE's today (Maths and ICT) and they are both very hard, i hope they go well so i can have my dream of waking up, going to work as a geek computer programmer and getting back at 7, only to waste the night away once again on the lovely internet.
One problem. I need to drink, so i will go out to the pub every Friday and Saturday. Wish me luck beotches. |
good luck man...
again. anyhoo my dream in life... I'd like to work as a black metal vocalist. If that goes nowhere then I want to be a lecturer in English literature at some university |

I'd love to, but I'm already singing for the maiden thread If there is no rule against it then I will, we'd have to ask AH |

It's not because you don't have the job of your dreams that you can't enjoy your life outside of work. :) Personally, I don't need to make millions a year, as long as I have enough money to buy my CD's, a good guitar + other instruments and enough money to go to ye pub. I don't need to live in a Castle. :)
When I grow up, I want to be the enchanting wizard of rhythm.
A rapper? |
Hahaha, I just got a text message on my phone. It said:
"Gawain is gay" (We have a literature exam tomorrow :) ) |
I just posted the new Monday Night Madness thread. I also hear Jelle wants to kill me. *quakes in fear*
|
I'm deaf in my left ear today. I have a doctor's appointment at 11:15 to check for earwax blockage. I hope I'm able to hear by later today. :(
|
I hope you heal. If not, can I have all your music stuff?
|
I hope you heal. If not, can I have all your music stuff?
Sure. :p But I get to keep my Finale program so that I can at least try to be the next Beethoven. :) Anyway, I think it's just earwax blockage. I'll go to the doctor and he'll just pull it out with tweezers or something. |

alright! new madness... quality programming... anyway... i'm off to work in a bit... again :upset: |
Dude, I got something like that once. I got really ill on a trip to New York (people blame the huge amounts of caffeine in my system from drinking several Mountain Dews a day for a week, but they are WRONG!) and when I got off the plane my ear was all deaf and stuff.
Apparently I had "Left acute otitis media" and all the tubes in my ear had got full of crap. They gave me some capsules. I cant swallow capsules - ended up pouring the stuff into fruit juice concentrate hehe. But yeah, took 4 weeks to heal. FOUR WEEKS. I hope you haven't got this dude. |

On the other hand, I believe that might have been caused by illness combined with odd pressure changes due to you being on the plane. Mine is only happening in one ear and it feels as though water is just blocked up in it. When I cover my right ear, my hearing power is as if I'm covering my left ear too: it's not totally deaf. |

How would he go about doing that? With the bottom of an ice skate and a very hot waffle? :p Good work on the thread, by the way. So good morning to y'all. My day hasn't gone by yet, but it's going to be good, knowing that I'm out of here in precisely a week. If your day isn't goin' good, I have no pity for you  . NP: Big Dumb Face (which is way better than Limp Bizkit will ever be, and that's sayin' a lot.)- Burgalveist |
Can someone possible explain the whole waffle thing to me please :)

In America, there is a breakfast called "Belgian waffles." Fruit can be added on top of it, or chocolate chips and whipped cream, or just syrup and butter and powdered sugar. They look like this: Oh, those glorious Belgian waffles ! Since Jelle is from Belgium, he is Belgian. Since Belgian waffles are from Belgium, Jelle is therefore a waffle, since he is also from Belgium :) |

Eh, the way I read the first post it just seemed like he though he couldn't enjoy living a life like everyone else because everyone else is doing it. |
Exams were good. Everyone else said Maths was rock hard, but i found it relativly easy, which is good.
