It was converted some time ago. It's too much of a ****around to get a LHD compliance here.

you guys remember when the bass forum was considered the "nicest" forum?
in other news i expoxyed a large portion of the wiring cavity on my bass so i can completely reroute the whole thing and ordered a new input and pots with gold plated posts :D had a tiny bit of noise on my new projects first recording so hopefully this will clear that up. But the first few riffs sound slick. |
Got a blister from playing today, first time in a while.
It's on the corner of my index finger where it usually doesn't see any action, except I was dampening the strings with my right-hand pinky for a nice thuddy dub kind of sound and playing at an angle because of that. Fun times. |

But the first few riffs sound slick.
Epoxy? Seems a bit excessive. I would have just grabbed a 1x4, cut it to size, mixed up some Bondo, and thrown it in. Epoxy would require countless 1/8 - 1/4" layers that you'd have to let dry. It would be more difficult to work with than the hardwood-like qualities of Bondo. I just got that 1/8" router bit from Stewmac that has the router guide on top. It was so nice and my battery compartment route came out looking phenomenal. |

It's in a bit of a shambles atm Jim. Just had the motor full rebuilt and bored out to 308 (was 302 GT motor in 289 body) and the battery was holding it's charge so the alternator's in the shop atm. However it will probably need a new starter motor as since the rebuild the pistons are too tight for the standard one.
As soon as that's sorted out should be sweet. Except I'm still trying to convince the old man to drop a 5spd in it. Still a 3spd auto w/shift kit. Other than that the rear suspension should really have a good going over. All in all it's probably had close to 30 grand spent on it. Most recently 3 on wheels and about 5 on the rebuild. Other mods include A/C, shift kit, thermo fan instead of belt, custom air filter (and just recently the additional top filter replace the filter top) new shifter, new dash, aftermarket speakers, replica radio face, shift kit I mentioned and some other engine work. I'm sure there's more but you know, it's not my car. |
PS I'll take some good quality pics on an actual camera when it's back running.

I saw Our Lady Peace live last night. I haven't given a crap about their music for about 10 years (because pretty much everything after Clumsy sucks), but they're doing a tour where they play through Clumsy start to finish, so I went for that. It was surprisingly not bad. The rest of the show, they then did a set of songs from the rest of their catalogue however, had some real stinkers. Some really bad songs.
I was 4th row from the stage. I had a good time... besides those bad songs that they played. |

To what? Aren't you a pretty clean guy lol. FB: How'd recording go? |
Kinda overall weird experience. Cool though. Should have been gone for another week, but it was just going to be editing stuff. And that's REALLY boring to watch. So we came home. I'm getting the unedited, unmixed versions of the songs tomorrow, which I'll be interested to hear on some speakers I'm used to :)
The producer was kinda weird though. He knows what he's doing, but he said he ALWAYS records bass with a Sansamp, and can't get a mic'd bass signal to sit right in the mix. I told him the Sansamp sounded ****, and we didn't use it. |

true... |
did a total overhaul on my bass today
basically took the whole thing apart, cleaned it, rewired it (something wasnt grounded right and the last wiring job was generally crappy), built a new nut from a bone blank (the last one was broke though still functional), and built three BADASS wenge knobs for the pots. i had extra money so i bought a gold plated input jack too  |
true...
but really if you wanna put things like drug addiction into perspective try not drinking water for 3 days see how your body reacts when it ACTUALLY needs something to survive heroin withdrawal isnt SHIT compared to dying of thirst |
No sympathy for people who get into drugs and have it **** them up, they should have known better.
|
heroin withdrawal isnt SHIT compared to dying of thirst
wtf does that even mean also your example of your body ACTUALLY needing something to survive is perfectly applicable with certain drugs. |
ITT people who have never taken drugs talk about drugs

Lol posting on a forum to get on MSN is usually not gonna work since I only check here every 8 or so hours :p I'm gonna send you another track soonish (since I realized the last one I sent you needs a **** load of work). This one will be way cooler and more finished. And more chugga chugga and wowa and wowa. Trust me. Just trust me. Trust me like your dick depends on it. I'll try get on tomorrow at school, we needa catch up or some shiz. |
Lol no sympathy here either.
Anything addiction (cigarettes, heroin, etc) that's self induced is their own problem and fault. I could go further but that's all it boils down to. *awaits excuses why people turn to drugs* |
