the binge and purge DVD/cd set is definitely worth the money. I've recently bought it off amazon.co.uk for 21 pounds! Its a bargain. Don't expect the same DVD quality you see on the cunning stunts or S&M because they were recorded in the early 90's. Its more like video quality, but the quality of the show itself is amazing! The setlist is pretty good and you get pretty much all the best songs from the first 5 of their albums!
dude S&M is just one concert. What i like about Live Sh*t is that it's 2 concerts on 3 cd's and 2 concerts on 2 dvd's. it's an amazing set. it's everythin from KEA until the Black Album (BA was brand new, so not many songs of there). The show is wild (for all hendrix fans hammett does little wing on one of the dvds)

Im not tryin to sound negative with this post, im just really bored right now..so what i wanna know is..What's your least favourite Metallica song, and if you feel obliged to explain, why is it your least favourite?

2X4 definitely gets my vote as Metallica's worst song, in fact to this day i don't think i've ever listened to the entire song, im always forced to change it about half-way through, IMO it's that bad.

Kirk's solo in Seattle DVD is horrible.......except he plays Little Wing very good

btoto 01-13-2005 02:56 PM

No, 'tallica's worst song ever is The Memorey Remains...........and mostly because it was ruined my Marianne. Although it was awesome on S&M

ytsedrummer 01-13-2005 03:10 PM

Invisible Kid. Song pisses me off.

Same here.

Off Topic - Is there a tab here on MX for the rif they play in the intro to Cunning Stunts?

btoto 01-13-2005 03:17 PM

Mister Che,

Check out ultimate-guitar.com

It's got lots of solos and riffs they played live. Even from Live $hit and 2 years and half DVDs. I don't know about Cunning Stunts though

I can. Is it supposed to be hard? I don't even play guitar and I can do it fairly well.

I'm gonna have to go with Shortest Straw. I've never listened to the entire thing. Where the Wild Things Are is pretty bad too. Even though I don't like those songs, I still love AJFA and Reload. (Yes I love Reload.)

metallicamaniac16 01-13-2005 09:34 PM
Hi guys, i've played guitar for a year now and metallica is my fav band and i've learnt a few of their songs like nothing else matters, sandman and stuff. I want to move on to playing some of the old, faster songs like battery. Just wonder if there are any experienced guitarists out there who can provide me with some tips. Do I just start out playing the riffs slow until I get used to it and speed up? And am i supposed to downpick at all times? Thanks
Learn how to alt. pick as soon as you can. I've been playing for a little less than 2 years, and its one of my biggest weaknesses. I just can't friggin get it right!

My Least Favorite Metallica song:The Thing That Should Not Be

I still like the song, I just find myself skipping it all the time.

JACKROXYOU 01-13-2005 09:40 PM

yea it still tricks me up in the middle of songs

Rasta Rocker 01-13-2005 09:42 PM
