eeeeeeeeeexaclty thanks to those 2 i now know 6 lesbians and 4 gay guys, the amount of gay (by thst I mean gay and lesbian) people i know almost outnumbers the amount of straught people i know, which is worrying

Anyway, while i was in town(Oxford) today with my girlfriend, there seemed to be a lot more people with leaflets with stuff like "Aldders 50% off" or "Jesus died for you, so what do you do on a sunday morning?", that sort of thing.

Has anyone had any run-ins with these sort of people and how best is it to get out of them?

i hate those people - but i do feel sorry for the people who also have to wear the costumes, they crack me up though

take the leaflet, dont say anything just take it and drop it about 10 secs later - unless you actually want it.

they dont care most of the time, they just want to hand them out and get payed... unless their collecting for charity, then just avoid them,(i do give to charity sometimes by the way, but when i want to, not when some hippie in the street wants money) that or doing a survey.

iv seen someone like that debenhams woman aswel, collecting for charity, saying we are so fortuante we dont need all these things.... wearing a fur lined coat and jewellery

I used to feel exactly like you and hate leaflet givers, but since work experience when I was handing out leaflets all day one day I know how they feel too.

Either take it and drop it out of their view or politely say "no thanks :)" and walk on

Whats the worst is when you have someone get a leaflet of one of the other guys working with you about 20 metres up the pavement and then have it handed back to you when they walk past :upset: Thats the worst, never felt such a sense of insignificance

Flyer Whores get paid roughly £7.50 an hour.
Charity workers get paid the same.

I have a habbit of walking past the same charity people about 3 or 4 times when I'm in Bristol, I like talking to them becuase I look over the age of 18, they begin to get really into what they're working for etc...then before they can get me to sign anything they have to ask my age, and every time I say ''Nope, I'm 16'' then walk off smiling.

I think the best one I ever ran into, was a dude who started talking to me about 70's rock bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, AC/DC etc...then he was really disappointed when I was too young to help his charity.

I get people handing me out rap stuff, i just think "DO I LOOK LIKE I LIKE RAP, NOOOOO"

I tend to keep anything a flyer whore has given me, at the end of concerts my back pocket is full of sweaty flyers etc...

Some of them are quite cool, I found a Mr.Scruff flyer on my bedroom floor when I tidyed it the other week, and stuck it to my wall.
