The first day at my new job (yesterday), I met a dude from this band:

Rad.

Other than that, how's the job so far?

Liebensaft 09-22-2007 11:06 AM

I'm on fire.

Boilermaker 09-22-2007 11:07 AM

Oh sorry to hear that bro.

Neoteric 09-22-2007 12:01 PM

Okay, so I am now going to see Animal Collective on 28th November at the Oran Mor.

Liebensaft 09-22-2007 12:37 PM

I'm seeing them a week from today. I'm excited.

Neoteric 09-22-2007 02:17 PM

Tell me how it goes.

Not bad, I pretty much just file CD's all day. The sweet thing is I can borrow 5 things at a time, which means CD's, games, and DVD's.

Doctor D. 09-22-2007 04:01 PM

Today, I am 20.

Feels quite strange. Kinda.

It'll soon be my twentieth.

Happy birthday, guy.

beso negro 09-22-2007 08:53 PM

the bad thing about turning 20 is when you realize that you will never be a teenager again.

dei 09-22-2007 09:14 PM

I need a job.
I need a job.
Me too.

Bukowski 09-22-2007 10:17 PM

I haven't heard that (and never will), but I'm considering seeing him live because Broken Social Scene are fun live and so maybe he is? Do you follow that logic?

I probably won't though.

iamrockzorz 09-22-2007 10:17 PM

seeing as hes one of the cofounders of the band i can follow that logic lol.

Bukowski 09-22-2007 10:27 PM

Good

I bought tickets to see Mono/Jesu, and also tickets for Acid Mothers Temple. But I was stupid, and it turns out they're both on the same date. I'm ****ing gutted. Question is -- WHICH SHOULD I GO TO!?

I've seen Mono before and they're good live, but I don't care about that band at all. I really want to see Jesu though...but really want to see AMT as well. I've heard stories about Jesu being kind of boring live, as well. It's a tough decision. A tough life.

Anxious 09-22-2007 10:37 PM

AMT just go batshit insane for an hour, Jesu actually play their songs.

Me personally, I would go see AMT.

Bukowski 09-22-2007 10:44 PM

I think it'll be AMT. I love Jesu, but I just have this image of a really rigid and probably kind of dull performance without any improv or any real stage presence. Plus they're opening for Mono, and like I said, I've no real interest in Mono whatsoever.

Acid Mothers would be much more entertaining and wild, so it'll probably be them. I need to hear more of their stuff though, they have a lot.

Zmev 09-23-2007 12:52 AM

Sell whichever ticket cost more and get money.

pikester 09-23-2007 03:35 AM

I'm seeing the BSS plays Kevin Drew tour... I have absolutely no Idea what to expect but I kind of like Spirit If so that's a pretty good start.

AMT will probably be much more fun than MonoJesu

br3ad_man 09-23-2007 06:06 AM

I would go to AMT.

Neoteric 09-23-2007 06:52 AM

So I read up that Mark Kozelek is playing here at the end of October, I was all excited about it until it said THIS IS AN OVER 18's EVENT, PEOPLE UNDER 18 WILL NOT GET A REFUND.

br3ad_man 09-23-2007 07:55 AM

I was all excited when I saw a Mark Kozelek tour poster one time and then I realized it was from 2004.

dei 09-23-2007 10:24 AM

So I want to give Red House Painters another try. Which album should I get first?

CatfishJones 09-23-2007 10:42 AM

Anxious 09-23-2007 11:02 AM
