Before I came back to mx properly which was about a week ago, I had around 2,500 posts.

I'm probably not gonan suprise nanyone with the statement I hate emo, but NOT because its emotionally expressive, as far as im concerened all music should be an expression of feeling and emotion

Its the fact that practically all emo bands (with the exception of TBS ) sound EXACTLY the same, all emo songs ive heard are exactly the same as each other, whihc after time makes emo bland insipid and boring and unoriginal, maybe if they found a subject slightly more signifcant and meaningful than: 'My girlfriend dumped me boo hoo no-one likes me im gonan go base an entire musical career on been rejeceted by one girl when i was 18 and still be writing about how the same girl broke my heart when im happily married at 34'

Thats how I see emo, and im probably gonna get flamed beyond recognition by Butler for this

nah, i cant be arsed, emo dosnt sound the same to me though.

The thing is, say if you like pop-punk, like me, youll say non sounds a like, but i could say all metal sounds the same, and a metal-head could say all pop-punk sounds the same, and metals all different.
