why? unless you want to customise it (and the options are astonishing) its the best no bullshit music player out there as far as I can see

Yeah, it's great. It plays everything, you get to set it up the way you want it to be, and it's not bloated and annoying (*cough* iTunes *cough*). You don't even have to go hunt down any of the those third party components to make it nice either. I haven't installed any myself, I just set up the interface like I wanted, and added a few keyboard shortcuts, which took 5 minutes max.

yeah i have tons and tons of issues with itunes like 24/7

ive never had a problem with itunes unless im running a video game, itunes, and firefox at the same time
