Alright so I barely know anything about grind but what i've heard I do love a lot. I know it's pretty much against the classic/loved grind mentality or whatnot, but I especially love it when it's well produced and more 'accessible', so it's no suprise that my favorite grind/music related to is Nasum, Misery Index, later Napalm Death and Agoraphic Nosebleed (admittedly i've only heard their latest album.

Thoughts/recommendations?
Get Agoraphobic Nosebleed's PCP Torpedo and Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope. They are my favorites by far.

Also, get Pig Destroyer- Prowler in the Yard.

And although I'm not a huge fan of either band, Discordance Axis- The Inalienable Dreamless and Insect Warfare- World Extermination are pretty much essential listening around here

edit: damn, late post

Squirrel 12-24-2009 10:01 AM

Hmm, Insect Warfare, not bad by any means but not quite to my tastes. I can listen to it but I wouldnt be eager to play the **** out of it like I would Nasum or something, i'll get some more of their stuff, though.

I really like the other Agoraphobic Nosebleed stuff so far. Odd but good fun.

I really like Hatred Surge for some reason, haha, mental and random as **** but theyre fun too.

Jaundice 12-24-2009 10:02 AM

insect warfare is pretty fun when they're not doing those ten second long bursts of offbeat noise

RetiredAt21 12-24-2009 10:02 AM

Insect Warfare rules lol.

beans 12-24-2009 12:56 PM

need to stick with Discordance Axis, Nasum, and Magrudergrind
Insect Warfare is good, i just dont think for a new listener to the genre, they're a good first listen.
What album, Kyle?
The Inalienable Dreamless I think.... yeah. It's good ****.

RetiredAt21 12-24-2009 09:35 PM

Yeah that's their best album. Jouhou is very good, too. Ulterior is good also but it's more straightforward.

DBlitz 12-24-2009 09:37 PM

jigsaw is an awesome song, whole album rules though

Well this is really good, so I'll probably check out the discography. I love how the album art completely contradicts the music... lol.
jigsaw is an awesome song, whole album rules though
Yeah that song is great. I like Oratorio in Grey a lot, too. Loveless might be my favorite song on the album, though.
