That's right. All I saw were a bunch of vaginas jumping around with instruments.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 05-18-2006 11:13 PM

I like FBTMOF a lot. I agree with Gav.

Brain Toad 05-19-2006 12:42 AM

Nice way to rip off the Tony Hawk soundtrack and piss off elitist punks.

I'd like to hear the covers, I was surprised by the TH covers and enjoyed most of them.

RetiredAt21 05-19-2006 05:27 AM

My schtick is I'm hot. :)

vocman 05-19-2006 05:57 AM

yeah, FBTMOF are a very decent band. (although I would like to see the dude where some clothes)

RetiredAt21 05-19-2006 06:03 AM

I hate FBTMOF.
Thanks Brain Toad. It's nice to see that another punx is recognizing my punx, I must really be punx then. My life is complete.

Agreed. I actually think if Fall Out Boy would have added harmonica it would of been better than the original. I love GB but the singer can actually sing and the random yelling sort of pissed me off when the guy had lots of melody.

RetiredAt21 05-19-2006 07:05 AM

I Hate Myself is seriously my favorite emo band.

bottlerocket 05-19-2006 12:06 PM

I still like them...I don't care if it makes me an outcast. :(

-Gav

RetiredAt21 05-19-2006 12:06 PM

I dunno why so many people hate on them, they are really really good.

bottlerocket 05-19-2006 12:09 PM

Fear Before's first CD is so catchy and upbeat yet dark and mysterious. I love the lyrics, too, because they're so lame

TODAY I PRAYED
MY PLANE WOULD CRASH
YOU'D HEAR THE NEWS
YOU'D HEAR THE NEWS
And you'd think of me
As much as I thought of you

I like Dave's voice a lot, too. It's different.

The backing vocalist (Adam, I think) has a sweet voice, too.

I wanna see what DEP and Deftones do. Other than that. I don't want anything.
You can already see what the Deftones did.

Brain Toad 05-19-2006 10:58 PM

I keep listening to Some Natures Catch No Plagues just for the "there is no happy here" and "spine thigh and breasts" parts.

Sep 05-20-2006 04:43 AM

I honestly don't get why people jizz off over Some Natures Catch No Plagues so much.

bottlerocket 05-20-2006 06:14 AM

I just dig the part at the end when there's two vocals, one saying the leads and the other saying, "There is no happy here!" over and over.

I see a lot of emotion in that song. I dig it.

-Gav

RetiredAt21 05-20-2006 07:54 AM

It's an ok song, it's not THAT great though...

cobert 05-20-2006 11:16 AM

"Some Natures Catch No Plagues" is up there with "An Open Letter" and "Postlapsaria" as my favorite Saetia songs.

deadohiosky9 05-20-2006 11:25 AM

Postlapsaria is the best--it's very strong lyrically and probably their strongest musically. People jizz over Some Natures Catch No Plagues because the emotion is especially blatant. It's more emotional than most of their other songs and it has the whole "there is no happy here" part that is just very blatantly said and it makes people jizz all over the ceiling, or shoot blanks. Depending on how much you like it.

cobert 05-20-2006 11:31 AM

This thread needs to settle down with the jizzage, I say.

ROFL NICE PUN IN THERE WITH SHOOT BLANKS

But yeah, I agree: Postlapsaria is pure gold. That song is just amazing.

Cobert: Jizz.

cobert 05-20-2006 11:37 AM

Dawwww, shucks.

I dont think ive ever seen an actual thread on saetia, just discussion in here.

bottlerocket 05-20-2006 11:38 AM

It's because everyone is expected to know them...maybe not like them, but at least appreciate. :p

Even though they supposedly ripped off this band Anasarca...I've never heard Anasarca, though. I want to, though, but I don't know anyone that has their stuff.

pixiesfanyo 05-20-2006 11:43 AM

My favorite Saetia song is The Burden of Reflecting

bottlerocket 05-20-2006 11:48 AM

Mine are, in order:

Postlapsaria
An Open Letter
Adriene's Thread
From the Firmament
Roquentin
Endymion

I think...I'm not sure. :p

Thats probably one of my favorite lines in any song. Its just so perfect. The word 'pasture' sounds similar to 'future', 'picture', and 'past', so.....

"lost gray pictures of my past stain greener pastures of my future" is just phonetically perfect.

I have Anasarca. But they didn't really "rip off" Anasarca, rather Anasarca were an influence on them, which is what Jamie told me. You'll notice some slight similarities in their riffage but thats about it. Anasarca is basically another one of those 90's emo bands, like Native Nod-esque.

Cobert: Billy's good with his language.

Sep 05-20-2006 11:52 AM

Notres Langues Nous Trompent, Venus And Bacchus and Postlapsaria are really the only ones that stand out for me. The Sweetness And the Light is kinda cool too. Oh and An Open Letter.

cobert 05-20-2006 11:54 AM
Cobert: Billy's good with his language.
Yes, I see that.

Native Nod is radddddddd.

deadohiosky9 05-20-2006 12:00 PM

Native Nod own.
