Funny story this guy at my work once was asking if we had canned kangaroo meat. I said we didn't, we only have it like, fresh. He wanted to take some back to his country on holiday.

That's such a great instinct, to want to return home carrying the meat of strange beasts from the lands you've visited.

Spaceman Spiff 02-12-2011 11:36 AM

Well, the show last night was awesome. The place was pretty damn full. A place with a capacity of about 100, we had around 85 people show. That shit was just great.

Interesting. I wanna buy some canned kangaroo!

How is kangaroo compared to various other, more common, meats?

I imagine it's much like dog meat - tender and juicy like dark chicken/turkey meat, a bit more savory, and less oily.

hey look i made an orchestra song with synth leads and a dubstep bassline

gaslight 02-12-2011 11:06 PM

I've never actually had kangaroo but it's meant to be pretty nice. It's quite a lean meat.

We used to export an absolute fuck-ton of it to Russia.

Tough, with very little fat. Having said that I found it average and only flavoured by what you add to it. Much like a lot of meat.

Everyone in the world should eat vegemite on a daily basis.

gaslight 02-13-2011 10:40 PM

Get the vegemite mate it's probably the best spread for toast in the world.

Do you prepare yours with a layer of butter and then spread vegemite on that?

gaslight 02-14-2011 09:17 AM

Only rarely.

I almost never use butter on anything, I just put the vegemite straight on the toast.

That said, hot buttered toast with vegemite is quite delicious.

It's up to you really. One of my favourites at the moment is toast, no butter, vegemite, with a slice of cheese on top.

fatbandit 02-14-2011 02:41 PM

holy shit new glassjawwwwww

FunkMetalBass 02-14-2011 02:42 PM

No.Wai.

fatbandit 02-14-2011 02:45 PM

genuinely new music, not just those singles that had been around in the public domain in one form or another for years. super stoked. and i don't feel bad downloading a rar of it seeing as it's being given away for free at shows.

FunkMetalBass 02-14-2011 04:35 PM

This is still necessary to protect these forums from the RIAA:

that's real man bass playing, none of that jazz stuff :p

FunkMetalBass 02-14-2011 07:18 PM

Goddamn. Amazing tone. Is he tuned F#-D?

fatbandit 02-14-2011 07:23 PM

I think that song's main riff is in E? So that'd put him in B-D tuning. Meshuggah use FBbEbAb I think but I'm not sure.

fatbandit 02-14-2011 07:25 PM

Love how this was in the related videos though:
