I hate lloyds and I hate wetherspoons.

No music, no women, no atmosphere.

I won't be having any women for a while anyway. I got myself a really wank haircut. :(

oliv_da_skinmasher 04-15-2008 09:13 AM

Unluck J man. And actually here there is music and women in lloyds lol

an_original_name 04-15-2008 09:13 AM

^^^ just shave your head like i do. then you dont have to worry about what your hair looks like.

T

oliv_da_skinmasher 04-15-2008 09:14 AM

Or grow it really long. Chicks dig my hair.

Just gotta make sure you use enough of conditioner lol

BummerJonny 04-15-2008 09:16 AM

heres how my average evening goes:

all meet in the gilly (alternative pub)
couple pints there till we all show up, then head spoons, and hit the £1.70 jager shots until walking back to the table is an issue
leave, and head to TJs, Blue, or wherever there is live music :)

an_original_name 04-15-2008 09:16 AM

I couldn't be bothered with long hair. I tried growing mine a while back but it just kept getting in the way.

jonny, it must be nice to have the option of going to more than one venue for live music. me and oliv don't have the luxury.

T

Jezen 04-15-2008 09:18 AM

With me it'll be Players or Sam Jacks usually. Both bars with live dancers, then off to Blu Bambu, Liquid Envy, or Digital.

I don't like pubs.

oliv_da_skinmasher 04-15-2008 09:18 AM

Lol. Mines ace

And J pubs rule

Jezen 04-15-2008 09:20 AM

Nah pubs are for a quiet sit down pint with your dinner.

oliv_da_skinmasher 04-15-2008 09:20 AM

Nah I prefer pubs cause I can't stand havin loads of people bump into me while I drink lol

an_original_name 04-15-2008 09:23 AM

^^^ same here. I'd much rather be able to sit down and have a conversation with people without having to shout as well.

T

oliv_da_skinmasher 04-15-2008 09:24 AM

Yeah exactly

BummerJonny 04-15-2008 09:27 AM

yea, pubs are good evening starters.

and we have several venues, but none are purpose built, and only one puts on semi famous bands...

and if youre lucky theyll be a gig on. just happens to be 2 tonight, my bands and my old bands...

an_original_name 04-15-2008 09:27 AM

Have you been to TC's recently oliv?

T

oliv_da_skinmasher 04-15-2008 09:28 AM

Never been ever actually

an_original_name 04-15-2008 09:30 AM

its probably worth checking out if you want somewhere that isnt too busy but still has good music. drinks are reasonably priced as well.

T

oliv_da_skinmasher 04-15-2008 09:34 AM

Yeah a load of people I know keep sayin I should go but I really just prefer a good laugh in the pub lol.

The crown at he top of stanwix has an ace jukebox like

Mirror.Circuit 04-15-2008 09:34 AM

Morning guys.
Well, for me anyways.

Panopticon 04-15-2008 09:56 AM

same...well its noon but its morning tbh.

Mr Pink 04-15-2008 10:16 AM

Just got the bill for the emergency crew that came and tore out my walls and pulled up my carpet...$4800.00.
Also estimates to replace everything and repair walls, put in new hardwood floors etc, $37,000.
I guess I will not be going to the Bahamas for a month this year with my wife.

Panopticon 04-15-2008 10:18 AM

that sucks. I'd help you out if i could my man, but im broke:amaze:

trysthedrummer 04-15-2008 10:21 AM

I agree. Start off in a pub, usually there is a fair few people in already so the atomosphere isn't dead. Later on after you've downed quite a bit then head off to a club or two!

BummerJonny 04-15-2008 10:22 AM

yep :)

Janeway 04-15-2008 10:48 AM

My grandma wants to take me out to lunch, and she called up on the day that my sister has nothing to do, so I wrangled her into it too.

I feel so smug.

Panopticon 04-15-2008 10:53 AM

The Chemist 04-15-2008 11:11 AM

He meant Streetlight Manifesto, Fool.

Panopticon 04-15-2008 11:11 AM

why does everyone on this forum take me so seriously?

Janeway 04-15-2008 11:17 AM

Because we're all insecure and overly defensive.

BummerJonny 04-15-2008 11:18 AM

lulz

i just got some good news

Chippy569 04-15-2008 11:18 AM

sounds about like what they charged for my basement flood. sucks with no insurance.

The Chemist 04-15-2008 11:23 AM

Goddamit.

I cough so much now that it hurts to cough. I have headaches from coughing, my diaphragm is killing me, and my throat is raw.

I hate being sick.

Janeway 04-15-2008 11:26 AM

My diaphragm is stuck...

I'm worried.

Panopticon 04-15-2008 11:30 AM

lol why do you need one you dont like boys.

BummerJonny 04-15-2008 11:33 AM

less good news now :(

if any of you remember, my mother moved out around this time last year

in december, i turned 18.

i just recieved a phone call from the insurance company asking how i felt their customer service was, and whether i was considering carrying on my life insurance policy, after receiving the £4000 ($8000) payout i receive on the policy at 18.

after checking my account, i was pretty confused, until they asked me to confirm my address, which was changed to my mums address.

the cheque had also been paid out from the bank

legally, this is my £4000 and i can take he to court, but me and my dad have decided to let it lie until the divorce case...

an_original_name 04-15-2008 11:38 AM

that really sucks jonny. my parents recently got divorced and thats hard enough to deal with by its self.

T

BummerJonny 04-15-2008 11:41 AM

tbh man, look at the positives.

my mum was so controlling... now we're shot of her we're actually happier, even my dad whos lumbered with 3 of us...
