CB, and who are you and if you read you might be able to find out what point he made.

Understanding In a Crash 06-29-2005 11:46 AM

Chris is probably more developed and smarter in the screamo and emo catergory but for me it's basically something inspried through post-hardcore and punk. Soft and sometimes screamed out vox with melodic guitars and sometimes crushing power chords inbetween. Octave Chords that we see in pop-punk are well reknowned in emo and screamo. Lyrics are basically poetry or very abstract sayings with lots of imagery.

LifesGreatGuy 06-29-2005 11:47 AM

ok i got it now

Tjebby 06-29-2005 11:47 AM

Angry Balled Fists! 06-29-2005 11:47 AM

Tjebby 06-29-2005 11:48 AM

Aha I thought you were describing Chris for a second.

Understanding In a Crash 06-29-2005 11:50 AM

Dan the best screamo bands that are fairly known in my mind (or maybe just my favorites) are Saetia and Circle Takes the Square.

Dan, would you be a doll and upload some? ;)

Ganondorf 06-29-2005 11:51 AM

CTTS are IMO horrible. Wel the one song, Crowquill is really bad.
Dan, would you be a doll and upload some? ;)
www.purevolume.com for CTTS but it's a briefy. Jon and Chris are much better at this then I am and can probably recommend better bands but I believe Saetia is FAMOUS for screamo.

i guess im the noob :D

xcbmetalcorex 06-29-2005 11:53 AM

I'll upload some Saetia, Love Lost But Not Forgotten, Kite Flying Society, etc in one second.

Tjebby 06-29-2005 11:53 AM

I just want to get into hardcore... I like what I have heard from it, but I don't want to do any blind buys. IMO, its either good or bad.

Tjebby 06-29-2005 11:54 AM

Hey Chris, instead of uploading a full album, do you want to like make a little mix of some bands for me, and then upload that?

LifesGreatGuy 06-29-2005 11:54 AM

ok could someone explain what IMO means i have never seen that acronym (i think thats how u spell it)

Dead Star 06-29-2005 11:55 AM

Tjebby 06-29-2005 11:56 AM

No its cool. I thought you were doing full albums, not just songs.

Angry Balled Fists! 06-29-2005 11:57 AM

Thanks a lot Chris.

LifesGreatGuy 06-29-2005 12:01 PM

xcbmetalcorex 06-29-2005 12:02 PM
Thanks a lot Chris.

Not really. CTTS are starting to get attention and Converge has some emo influence but it's probably one of the most unknown genres in history.

Dead Star 06-29-2005 12:03 PM
