its not really thread worthy so ill just post a link here me think
http://www.box.net/shared/hxnn2uabzz I know the part at :20-40 sucks but it makes the part after it sound cooler. |
Ive been playing through a Vox AD100VT. It's one of their amp-modeling amps. It has served my quite well, doesn't sound bad at all, but I might as well have all my gear be pro and badass.
I seriously love my guitars. Both are Fenders. As for basses, I've never been a Fender guy. In fact, I don't really want anything by Fender except what I already own... and a Twin Reverb, of course. My guitars are: Fender Custom Shop Tele Lee Ranaldo sig. Jazzmaster I don't really care for Strats, either. The Tele and Jazzmaster are all I could want for guitars. Probably ever. |
Bass forum guitar playing moderator strikes again

I don't love Fender basses either I have to say. If I had a tonne of cash, I'd probably get a vintage P and J just for kicks, but I'm basically wearing holes through the body of my Ibanez SR500. I love that thing, there's enough of my sweat soaked into the wood you could clone me from it.
Vox guitar amps are tasty but the one that I want is far too costly for me. |

Lol. I still play my bass, just not nearly as much. I don't plan on selling it or anything. I switched to guitar being my main instrument when I got tired of not being in a band for many years. Now I'm in a band I'm stoked about and playing guitar. |

If I went for another Vox, I'd get an AC30. Despite never being a Fender man, just these very few things really appeal to me. If I was still mainly a bassist, I'd probably get myself a 6 string Bongo. |
There's bugger all difference between guitar and bass as far as I'm concerned.
Electric bass / electric guitar / acoustic guitar, if you're gonna play one you may as well get competent at the rest. |
people who are good at piano are good at everything

I love my SR500 :), I can't think of anything that I've got similar value for money out of. Got myself an SR706 too, thinking I would have some students with 5 and 6 string basses but, everyone I've ever taught has been on a 4 string so far. I thought 5 strings were the cool thing but ah, what do I know. |

Yeah if you're good at piano you can just get on any instrument and be better at it than most people. |
I can play a little piano. I want to get way better, I just don't have the time at the moment.
It took me a lot of work to learn to play guitar after switching from bass. I had to learn to use a pick, had to learn all these chords, different tuning, entirely different style of playing. |
Everyone serious about learning music should play a bit of piano.
I don't find guitar hugely different to bass, though it is annoying getting used to that B string when you're used to just fourths between strings. I love writing on it and coming up with chords and things, the only gay thing is that there's noone I know who I'd want to play bass in my band if I were playing guitar, it'd be incredibly strange for me, that situation. |

http://www.box.net/shared/hxnn2uabzz I know the whole thing sucks but it makes me feel better when I look at animal photos.
Sorry I couldn't resist :( |
When's the whole album coming out?
Does mean you're taking time out from your band. |
I wouldn't mind one either.
I'm good for now for guitar amps though, I have a nice little Blackstar combo. My only gripe is that it doesn't have onboard reverb. I'll recruit a few pedals and things for fun though that'll still cost a pretty penny.
I wish I had a guitar amp. Currently I have a Crate Power Block for recording purposes, but no cab to go with it. Yet again, I've purchased the BFM guitar cab plans and I'll be building it once I've taken care of the other build stuff I have going on. |
Sooner or later man.
I played guitar for like, 4 years before I got an amp, haha. |
Sooner or later man.
I played guitar for like, 4 years before I got an amp, haha.
The worst part is, I sold both of my guitar amps because I couldn't warrant having them, and I planned on selling my guitars too. Well, the guitars were my uncle's and even though the amps were too, I just cannot bring myself to sell any of the guitars. Lately I've wanted to do more recording with guitar, and I wish I'd kept one of the amps. *sigh* In other news, I just had the most disgusting donut ever. Regular donut, chocolate on top, sprinkled with nuts. That's all fine and dandy, but when I bit into it, it was filled with PEANUT BUTTER. What is up with Americans and this fascination for peanut butter and chocolate? It is probably one of the most putrid combinations on the planet. |
Oh god. That's just awful man.
My favourite donut is the jam donut, or the cinnamon. |
Oh god. That's just awful man.
My favourite donut is the jam donut, or the cinnamon.
I like lemon-filled donuts. I like cake donuts. I like powdered donuts. I pretty much will eat any donut, but I draw the line at peanut butter. |
Peanut butter is only really welcome one place, and that's on toast or on bread.
|
Peanut butter is a vile substance, and has no place anywhere.
|
I agree.
|
I think Peanut Butter is the American Vegemite.
I tried a peanut butter bacon sandwich the other day, and I was actually surprised by how edible it was. Apparently they're quite popular in the Midwest. |
Peanut butter is sweet, but it doesn't belong just anywhere.
Peanut butter and banana sandwich is delicious. |
^Finally. Someone that ****ing agrees with me on that subject.

About peanut butter and banana? It's one of the few ways I will eat the stuff.
Wtf? Not in this midwest. Why would you eat that? Also.... what's going on MX?
Maybe it's popular in the midwest if your state's name doesn't start with an I or an M. |
