Still Deftones - White Pony, and I saw my sisters boyfriend play with La Otracina last night and they OWNED
Why Pony is such a solid album. If they cut off the track with Maynard and replaced it with something more industrial, it'd be perfect.

Zebra 04-15-2006 12:40 PM

The Beatles - Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band

Rolling Stones #1 album of all time. :)

Kyle 04-15-2006 01:34 PM

Been diggin' some Machina-era Pumpkins, it's wonderfull stuff. I always tend to neglect it, but I'm really enjoying it right now.

asymm 04-15-2006 03:56 PM

Sonic Youth - Dirty

ATM 04-15-2006 03:58 PM

Soft Canyon - Broken Spirit, I Will Mend Your Wings

Very cool.

Tangy zizzle 04-15-2006 04:24 PM

Air - 10,000hz.

It's good because it's both entertaining and relaxing. Good hungover listening.

Oh yeah, :p to Andy.

Happymeal 04-15-2006 05:10 PM

I went to the library awhile ago to borrow the audio book version of A Midsummer Night's Dream. So yeah, I'll be digging that tonight.

br3ad_man 04-15-2006 05:48 PM
You're both right (what's the album like?).
It's not bad. I'd give it a 3/5 at the moment. I've only listened to it once.

As for other new albums I listened to yesterday, the new Flaming Lips seems nice and the new Dresden Dolls is dissapointing.

This reminds me, I still need to listen to the Mission of Burma leak. I shall do this now.

br3ad_man 04-15-2006 06:14 PM

Wow, there's a new Mission of Burma album?

Happymeal 04-15-2006 07:12 PM

Also, new Built to Spill is out. I've listened to the first three tracks, they're pretty solid.

Daniel! 04-15-2006 07:20 PM

I listened to the first song of The Obliterati and then decided I'm going to try and wait until it's official release. The first song is wicked though. Now I'm digging:

Minor Threat - Complete Discography
Nation Of Ulysses - 13-Point Plan to Destroy America

I listened to a couple of songs from that the other day. I wasn't the biggest fan of the previous album (was okay, though), but I thought "Sex Changes" in particular was pretty good.

Maybe the rest sucks, I suppose.

Did you hear about the new Dog Fashion Disco album? I listened to a few samples from allmusic; seems pretty neat.

asymm 04-15-2006 08:16 PM

And now, it's my first time through...
Frank Zappa - Hot Rats

I only really liked "Sing" but I thought "Sex Changes" was one of the better tracks. Eh, I'll just stick to their debut.

Song of Mr. Green Genes is amazing, as well as the rest of the album.

The Great Decay 04-15-2006 10:13 PM

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

In all the time I've had this album on my computer, I've yet to listen to it the full way through.

Kyle 04-16-2006 03:56 AM

The Cranberries

I Was A Kaleidoscope 04-16-2006 07:37 AM

Spiritualized - Ladies In Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space (come on, come togetherrr.)
Sia - Colour The Small One (how did I not find out about this girl earlier when she's from my city?)
Sleater-Kinney - Dig Me Out (finally heard an album other than The Woods.)
Scientist - Rids The World Of The Evil Curse Of The Vampires (best dub album that i've ever heard.)

The really weird thing is, I only just now realised that all of the bands there start with S.
And today is Sunday.
S is the letter of the day, kids. And the number is..uh...3
Did you hear about the new Dog Fashion Disco album? I listened to a few samples from allmusic; seems pretty neat.
Heard about it from some guy in R&M recently, I think, but haven't heard anything from it yet. I still don't even have Committed to a Bright Future though, so I'm not sure how I'll go about it.

ATM 04-16-2006 09:26 AM

Sex Change is a brilliant song.

My diggage:

You Say Party! We Say Die! - Hit the Floor!
T-Rex - Electric Warrior
Ride - Nowhere
Gnarls - Barkley - St Elsewhere

pixiesfanyo 04-16-2006 09:30 AM

Boards of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children
Brian Eno - Another Green World
Dr Octagon - Dr Octagonecologist

Relaxing on Easterz Festive with some hip-hop/electronica/ambience

BillCosby 04-16-2006 12:45 PM

I'm diggin the new Built to Spill. It definitely registers on the dope scale, just not sure how high yet.

Glitterati 04-16-2006 01:42 PM

I've heard Jawbox compared to Fugazi, so they're definitely on my bands to check out list.

Anyway, today I realized that as of late I've been neglecting one of my all-time favorite rock bands - The Who. To mend this, I'm diggin Who's Next. Later I will be digging Meat Loaf.

Bukowski 04-16-2006 03:33 PM

Jawbox are awesome

Yo La Tengo - ICHTHBAO

Sugarcube is my favorite on this now. This album owns, i'll be looking out for some more YLT albums.

Teenage Jesus & the Jerks - Everything

This is a harsh, noisy, disjointed mess of an album. I love it! Especially the female vocalist.

Zappa 04-16-2006 04:00 PM

If you like Lydia Lunch's singing with the Jerks, check out her classic (for No Wave) solo album Queen of Siam.

el doctor 04-16-2006 04:08 PM

Fantômas - Delirium Cordia

I think this is the first time I've listened to this since around the time it was released. At that time, I'd thought this to be such a challenging album, although now this isn't so. Not quite as good as their first two releases, but a truly unique and interesting album.

Bukowski 04-16-2006 04:27 PM
If you like Lydia Lunch's singing with the Jerks, check out her classic (for No Wave) solo album Queen of Siam.
I'll check it out, thanks

br3ad_man 04-16-2006 05:21 PM

More Xiu Xiu last night and Ryan Adams this morning.

Happymeal 04-16-2006 05:35 PM

Lovage - Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By

This reminds me, I still have to check out So.. How's Your Girl? by HBMS.

Dog 04-16-2006 05:47 PM

The Sonics - Here Are The Sonics
Edan - Beauty And The Beat

Luxor 04-16-2006 05:50 PM

Mineral - The Power Of Falling

The Great Decay 04-16-2006 05:54 PM

Stars - Set Yourself on Fire

Tangy zizzle 04-16-2006 06:03 PM

New Drive by Truckers album. I'm about 5 songs in, and it's good so far. It'll take 2-3 listens to completely register.

Zebra 04-16-2006 07:23 PM

Cake - Comfort Eagle
Jesus Lizard - Goat

br3ad_man 04-16-2006 07:35 PM

Liars. Their first album and Drum's Not Dead. They seem like a band with hyperactive creative juices. I think they're awesome.

Daniel! 04-16-2006 07:38 PM

The Mummies - Never Been Caught
The Sonics - Boom
Ghost Mice - The Debt of the Dead
This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb - Front Seat Solidarity

Little Man being Erased 04-16-2006 08:56 PM

Listened to these last night:

Pulp - Different Class
Gang of Four - Entertainment!
Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me
The Drones - Wait Long by the River and the Bodies of Your Enemies will Float By
Pixies - Doolittle

Fun times. I'm gonna have to pick me up a copy of that Dino Jr. album. Awesome shit.

AK47 04-16-2006 09:22 PM
