Still Deftones - White Pony, and I saw my sisters boyfriend play with La Otracina last night and they OWNED
Why Pony is such a solid album. If they cut off the track with Maynard and replaced it with something more industrial, it'd be perfect. |
The Beatles - Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band
Rolling Stones #1 album of all time. :) |
Been diggin' some Machina-era Pumpkins, it's wonderfull stuff. I always tend to neglect it, but I'm really enjoying it right now.
|
Sonic Youth - Dirty
|
Soft Canyon - Broken Spirit, I Will Mend Your Wings
Very cool. |
Air - 10,000hz.
It's good because it's both entertaining and relaxing. Good hungover listening. Oh yeah, :p to Andy. |
I went to the library awhile ago to borrow the audio book version of A Midsummer Night's Dream. So yeah, I'll be digging that tonight.
|
You're both right (what's the album like?).
It's not bad. I'd give it a 3/5 at the moment. I've only listened to it once. As for other new albums I listened to yesterday, the new Flaming Lips seems nice and the new Dresden Dolls is dissapointing. |

This reminds me, I still need to listen to the Mission of Burma leak. I shall do this now. |
Wow, there's a new Mission of Burma album?
|
Also, new Built to Spill is out. I've listened to the first three tracks, they're pretty solid.
|
I listened to the first song of The Obliterati and then decided I'm going to try and wait until it's official release. The first song is wicked though. Now I'm digging:
Minor Threat - Complete Discography Nation Of Ulysses - 13-Point Plan to Destroy America |
As for other new albums I listened to yesterday.. the new Dresden Dolls is dissapointing.
I listened to a couple of songs from that the other day. I wasn't the biggest fan of the previous album (was okay, though), but I thought "Sex Changes" in particular was pretty good. Maybe the rest sucks, I suppose. |

Maybe the rest sucks, I suppose.
Did you hear about the new Dog Fashion Disco album? I listened to a few samples from allmusic; seems pretty neat. |
And now, it's my first time through...
Frank Zappa - Hot Rats |
And now, it's my first time through...
Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
Song of Mr. Green Genes is amazing, as well as the rest of the album. |
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
In all the time I've had this album on my computer, I've yet to listen to it the full way through. |
The Cranberries
|
Spiritualized - Ladies In Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space (come on, come togetherrr.)
Sia - Colour The Small One (how did I not find out about this girl earlier when she's from my city?) Sleater-Kinney - Dig Me Out (finally heard an album other than The Woods.) Scientist - Rids The World Of The Evil Curse Of The Vampires (best dub album that i've ever heard.) The really weird thing is, I only just now realised that all of the bands there start with S. And today is Sunday. S is the letter of the day, kids. And the number is..uh...3 |
Did you hear about the new Dog Fashion Disco album? I listened to a few samples from allmusic; seems pretty neat.
Heard about it from some guy in R&M recently, I think, but haven't heard anything from it yet. I still don't even have Committed to a Bright Future though, so I'm not sure how I'll go about it. |
Sex Change is a brilliant song.
My diggage: You Say Party! We Say Die! - Hit the Floor! T-Rex - Electric Warrior Ride - Nowhere Gnarls - Barkley - St Elsewhere |
Boards of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children
Brian Eno - Another Green World Dr Octagon - Dr Octagonecologist Relaxing on Easterz Festive with some hip-hop/electronica/ambience |
I'm diggin the new Built to Spill. It definitely registers on the dope scale, just not sure how high yet.
|
I've heard Jawbox compared to Fugazi, so they're definitely on my bands to check out list.
Anyway, today I realized that as of late I've been neglecting one of my all-time favorite rock bands - The Who. To mend this, I'm diggin Who's Next. Later I will be digging Meat Loaf. |
Jawbox are awesome
Yo La Tengo - ICHTHBAO Sugarcube is my favorite on this now. This album owns, i'll be looking out for some more YLT albums. Teenage Jesus & the Jerks - Everything This is a harsh, noisy, disjointed mess of an album. I love it! Especially the female vocalist. |
If you like Lydia Lunch's singing with the Jerks, check out her classic (for No Wave) solo album Queen of Siam.
|
Fantômas - Delirium Cordia
I think this is the first time I've listened to this since around the time it was released. At that time, I'd thought this to be such a challenging album, although now this isn't so. Not quite as good as their first two releases, but a truly unique and interesting album. |

I'll check it out, thanks |
More Xiu Xiu last night and Ryan Adams this morning.
|
Lovage - Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By
This reminds me, I still have to check out So.. How's Your Girl? by HBMS. |
The Sonics - Here Are The Sonics
Edan - Beauty And The Beat |
Mineral - The Power Of Falling
|
Stars - Set Yourself on Fire
|
New Drive by Truckers album. I'm about 5 songs in, and it's good so far. It'll take 2-3 listens to completely register.
|
Cake - Comfort Eagle
Jesus Lizard - Goat |
Liars. Their first album and Drum's Not Dead. They seem like a band with hyperactive creative juices. I think they're awesome.
|
The Mummies - Never Been Caught
The Sonics - Boom Ghost Mice - The Debt of the Dead This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb - Front Seat Solidarity |
Listened to these last night:
Pulp - Different Class Gang of Four - Entertainment! Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me The Drones - Wait Long by the River and the Bodies of Your Enemies will Float By Pixies - Doolittle Fun times. I'm gonna have to pick me up a copy of that Dino Jr. album. Awesome shit. |
Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks
Iron & Wine / Calexico - In the Reins |
