Yes, well that may be true. Listen to them while not high.
They have some (some) good music sober, too.

Woodstock 11-27-2004 04:25 PM

Oh man, anyone notice the "the site" is down?

Syncratic 11-27-2004 04:26 PM

Huh? The Site is down?

thickasabrick 11-27-2004 04:38 PM

the site is fine for me.

and i do like U2 when i am sober, last night was the first time i listened to them while high. i think the Edge is kind of like David Gilmour in terms of how he crafts his guitar into the song making it fit so well it doesn't even sound like guitar. he just doesn't really have the amazing solos Gilmour had. I love U2's lyrics, and Bonos voice suits the music perfectly.

magicbus 11-27-2004 04:42 PM

I didn't vote for My Generation, I voted for Light My Fire ALSO for the great organ solo.

I noticed "the site" is down and was displeased.

I like U2.

I'd recommend The Last Waltz. (buying)

Smart man^, and I like some U2, but I think some of it is crap.

thickasabrick 11-27-2004 04:44 PM

i am thinking i might buy The Last Waltz. If i was to rent it, and enjoy it, i would buy it anyway so i should just buy it first off.

Does anyone realize that U2 has a lot of lines/phrases/titles in their songs that sound like something completely else? i noticed that last night.

Sunday bloody sunday: Someday buddy someday
With or without you: with or without shoes

Illmatic 11-27-2004 04:44 PM

I like U2 a lot...Bono is a pretentious twat, but their old stuff was spectacular. I hate that now that they are crusading for all these causes, they think they can slack off on doing political material. I stand in the minority; my favorite U2 album is War.

Woodstock 11-27-2004 04:45 PM

Man, you were high last night.

To thickasabrick

The miracles of pot....

Woodstock 11-27-2004 04:51 PM

Ok, I bought my first Dylan record, Highway 61 Revisited last night. What should I get next?

magicbus 11-27-2004 04:57 PM

I don't really know any Dylan albums, but I'd be willing to also check out some.

Thickasabrick do you have AIM? because I'm thinking chat. Everyone!

Woodstock 11-27-2004 04:58 PM

Well, the next I'm thinking of getting is Blood On The Tracks.

Woodstock 11-27-2004 05:00 PM
I would say Blonde on Blonde...my friend saw Dylan when he toured last year (or maybe two years ago). Sadly I was ignorant back then, although hopefully he'll be back here soon. :(
Thanks, Dylan is coming to my city pretty soon

thickasabrick 11-27-2004 05:22 PM

i dont have AIM,

i would suggest Blonde on Blonde, or Blood on the Tracks. I own Blood on the Tracks and it's my favourite Dylan album, one of my favourite albums of all time. I don't own Blonde on Blonde, but i have heard most of the songs off of it and they are excellent.

either way, you are going to get your moneys worth plus extra.

thickasabrick 11-27-2004 05:24 PM

but anyways...i gotta go, we are doing another performance of Guys and Dolls at my school and they can't do it without me: gambler #4 (they didn't even give me a real name for god sakes).

Badmoon 11-27-2004 05:31 PM

I'm sorry to inconveniance you, but considering that you barely participate in any of this thread's discussion, the post you made was 100% spam.
