It has to do with some bull that some doctor pulled out of his *** about alcohol stunting brain growth that occurs between 18 and 21. That's the reason I hear the most, at least. I think it's more likely because 18 year olds usually have friends aged 14-17 so it would be very easy for them to get alcohol for their underage friends. With 21 year olds however, if they're getting alcohol for underage people they're going to be 18-20 anyways.

Although, if you're under 18 and can't get alcohol anywhere you aren't looking at all.

I've never heard that rule, it must be state by state. I've only been to like 2 or 3 shows that didn't go past midnight.
