Not as much as the new album. oOoOoOo

After listening to Make Believe though, I don't think it's terrible, but I don't think it's good. The original description of "meh" is most accurate. What I was really mad about was that there were no standout songs. Say what you want about the overall quality of the last 2 albums, but they at least had some quirky highlights. The good natured fun seems to gone now. :(
I would love to attend Wash U. That would be amazing. When we went to the zoo, it was still considered winter season, so some of the animals weren't out yet. And the monkey house, as always, smelled horrid. But they still have an awesome zoo.
Wash U is such a good school. I got accepted to it my senior year, but opted instead for a cheaper education to begin with. And now I'm a college dropout.

I love the monkey house.

Does anyone here like Nuclear Rabbit? You can ask their bassist some questions in the Bass Forum if you want. ;)

Zappa 04-24-2005 07:21 PM

A friend of mine had me download a Nuclear Rabbit album from him, and I guess I never listened to it.

Oops.

Happymeal 04-24-2005 07:28 PM

I got an album of theirs last month, it was quite a tedious listen despite the hype.

It's sort of like Mr. Bungle or Primus-influenced funk metal. But the bassist has a 9-string monstrosity and he knows how to use it, so that's why it's kind of a big deal for him to grant the bass forum a little Q&A.

When abouts is that going on?

Yeah I heard it was super expensive :/

I once saw two monkys ploughing in the monkey house, no joke. I was about 12 at the time, and it was scarring.

br3ad_man 04-24-2005 08:23 PM

I once saw a monkey hammering a roof with a rock.

Aren't they supposed to be really horrible?

br3ad_man 04-24-2005 09:33 PM

If I wanted to record a cover song with my band, how would I go about getting permission and stuff for it?

YDload 04-24-2005 09:34 PM
Aren't they supposed to be really horrible?
No. At the very least, they're some very talented musicans. But that doesn't mean you'll like what they make.

The NPC 04-24-2005 11:44 PM

Well I've been invited to join another band after I spotted in for them after a show I had on Saturday but I don't know, I already like what I'm doing. It was fun though to play with another group again though.

Finished a CD review

Happymeal 04-25-2005 05:25 AM

Noice. I still haven't listened to anything from them though.

The wedding reception the other night was more like a nightclub.

David Byrne's homepage now features a webradio. A playlist of one of alternative music's gurus himself!

Does it say anywhere what's on it, or do I have to listen to it to find out?

Bartender 04-25-2005 03:02 PM

It's got an index of the current playlist.

http://www.davidbyrne.com/radio/index.php

Or at least it says it does.

Iai 04-25-2005 03:04 PM

It does.

Bartender 04-25-2005 03:23 PM

Well there's a list there. Could be wrong.

Iai 04-25-2005 04:44 PM

He also got the name of the song wrong.
http://www.dvdpacific.com/item.asp?ID=622760 <-- that one
That's the one I've got, it's really bloody awesome. Except I was forced to pay AU$30 for it.

A little late but I don't give a damn.

Wanker 04-25-2005 08:38 PM

Well_Respected_Man 04-25-2005 08:45 PM

Wanker 04-25-2005 08:48 PM
