http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nina_Hagen

I have a feeling you would dig this woman Jaundice
i didn't see anything on her wiki that stood out from skimming it but i'll take a look later

im flipping through the pages of this industrial book though and i want to give this Johanna Went girl a baby or two

Meatplow 12-24-2009 04:49 PM

idk she has that european goth thing going on

mark pauline was the most interesting read in there I believe

Jaundice 12-24-2009 04:58 PM

ive just opened it up and skipped to Cazazza

im waiting for him to stop talking about movies he likes and say something clearly sexually repressed

Meatplow 12-24-2009 05:03 PM

i've found that comprehensive list they have at the end of each artist of what books, films and music they like interesting

Jaundice 12-24-2009 05:05 PM

" I don't think chemicals should be used for entertainment."

Oh Monte. This has done nothing for my pre-conceieved notion that all these first-wave acts were straight-edge.

Meatplow 12-24-2009 05:09 PM

I assumed they were all drug addicts

Jaundice 12-24-2009 05:11 PM

I have this pre-conceived notion that almost all art people , especially the weird ones, are totally oblivious to the existence of drugs.

Meatplow 12-24-2009 05:12 PM

what

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YCoSF-voHY

one of the tightest songs ever IMO

Jaundice 12-24-2009 05:15 PM

lol get that out the industrial thread

Meatplow 12-24-2009 05:16 PM

heiling electronic based pop music fgt

I bet whoever is behind Stardust uses drugz

Jaundice 12-24-2009 05:20 PM

i think the worst thing in the world is realizing that a well known artist or musician or whatever is a completely sane and levelheaded person whos just in it to make art.

I think you have no place in art if you're not at least casually insane.

Meatplow 12-24-2009 05:57 PM

yeah goddamn sobers

listening to Cripples Crossing Highways

Meatplow 12-25-2009 03:36 AM

i'm enjoying SMP's Stalemate if anyone has heard it, pretty cool. self-described as "electro-punk-cyber-rap"

http://www.last.fm/music/SMP

Which category do I fall in?

Meatplow 12-25-2009 03:02 PM

DIES - Aesthetics of Violence is pretty good

Meatplow 12-25-2009 06:09 PM

Monte Cazazza's voice has a really irritating quality, i'm liking the Worst Of a lot more now though.

also I didn't mind Kevorkian Death Cycle's Collection From Injection, the last track in particular had great use of samples.

Ventriloquist 12-26-2009 09:59 AM

Heiling A Split Second. So good. Also checked out two albums of Front 242 haz. They also rule hard.

Meatplow 12-26-2009 11:46 AM

Yeah I really should get some more of their stuff i've been pumping that release for ages.

Welcome To Paradise is probably my favourite track, anything with televangalist samples is usually pretty awesome but that just nails that sort of thing for me. I'm not too keen on the EP tacked on the end of most releases, as it is at a comfortable length as it is.

Also check your last.fm I responded to your PM.

Ventriloquist 12-26-2009 04:10 PM

Thanks man, replied you my mail :) Checking out some Nitzer Ebb right now.

Meatplow 12-26-2009 04:38 PM

listening to a lot of Test Dept lately

I like this kind of chaotic industrial similar to EN, i've been told to look into these groups as well who are apparently part of the same Geniale Dilletanten scene they were from of which I know nothing about

Sprung aus den Wolken - http://www.last.fm/music/Sprung+aus+den+Wolken

Meatplow 12-26-2009 06:03 PM

I don't know about any of their other albums but Ecstacy Under Duress is great.

I love that kind of manic percussion.

Meatplow 12-31-2009 05:01 PM

Not bad.

You all should get Квантовый день - Welcome To The Machine EP. A really solid slab of rhythmic noise from 2009, out of a slew of Russian stuff I have been investigating it's the only one that is not extremely subpar synthpop (such as БИО, avoid) and is definitely a cut above most of the genre.

Silenius 12-31-2009 05:26 PM

Anyone here like Scott Brown/Plus System?
