Does anyone know if if there are any other demos for Good Mourning besides the Blue in the Face electric,Continental, and Fatally Yours? Those are the only ones I can find.

They played Blue In The Face electric live when I saw them. It was cool, except I didn't realize I knew that song already until the "and all that followed fell, like mercury to hell" part. They ended with that song.

HitHardDrums55 09-30-2005 05:44 AM

same here except i did recognize it, because ive heard the electric one before and they mixed it with '97 to make one really interesting, ending song it was super cool!

im obsessing over fatally yours right now... "you told me that you missed me, but you meant with a grill and hood, you'd kill me if you could..." i love that part

I have We've Had Enough, and used to have All On Black, but I can't find that online anywhere. Could you send me Continental? I'm trying to get all the demos. I thought I found one of Emma, but it seems like it's a studio live performance for a radio station.

EDIT : I am just downloading an apparent demo of This Could Be Love.

EDIT 2 :
My GM demos = This Could Be Love, We've Had Enough, 100 Stories, Fatally Yours, Blue In The Face (Electric), possibly one of Emma.
There is definately one for All On Black, I used to have it on my dads pc.

Bad Blood 09-30-2005 10:30 AM

I've just seen the video to Mercy Me finally.

It's awesome!

trunks_punk 09-30-2005 11:18 AM

they are a fantastic band to make so much out of so little. If you have seen the live dvd, the drummer looks like he's playing one of those beginner kits you get from youe local music store, the bass player is as tight as a clenched ***, and matt, well, he just sounds like hes putting everything he's got into it.

favorites:

I don't use AIM pretty much, and my internet is going freakishly slow, so I'll try to some other day.

derek doesnt look like he's playing a beginner set at all...beginner sets are a solid color and he has the black/red stripes plus a custom kick head plus for 3 of his drums (tom, floor tom, and kick) it's $1500 at least...i know solid colors are $1500 (USD)...he plays C&C Custom Drums from Kansas City...they sound amazing though i'm looking into them...and matt and dan keep it tight with derek...one of the best live dvds i have seen...and in person is even better!

nice song list, i just recently got over my obsession with the song bleeder i had to force myself to quit listening to it so much...

anybody know the b-side(s) for mercy me?

Untitled 09-30-2005 03:39 PM

I think he means he has a simple kit, from what i can see he only has a floor tom, normal tom, bass, hi-hat, couple of crashes, and a ride, i think, im not sure. Thats going of the Time to waste video. He's a good drummer though.

oh..on the dvd he only had a 4-piece kit (kick, tom, floor tom, snare), hi hats, crash, and ride...but when i saw them live he had the 4-piece with 2 crashes, hats, ride, china, and i think a splash...its kind of like my set but i have a picollo snare too for when i do ska and i dont have a splash...

That's a third crash, not a china I'm pretty sure.

And he doesn't have a small kit. I mean seriously how many punk drummers play on a kit bigger than a 4 piece?

Bad Blood 10-01-2005 09:02 AM

Alkaline Trio is the only band i can listen to at the moment. I'm getting quite obsessed!

nah, it was a china i was in the front row...i think he uses it in mercy me but i cant remember right now, havent listened to crimson in about a week...i know ive heard a china in one of the crimson songs though

and i never said his kit was small, i just stated its a 4-piece...i usually consider my kit a 4-piece w/ alternate snares cause i usually only use the picollo for effects i consider 5-6 pieces BIG actually...

and i wouldnt call derek a punk drummer...he does ska work and i'm sure with his skill he knows several other styles...as my drum teacher told me: the more styles you have mastered, the more creative you will be in the style you like to play

OHHHH YEAAAHHH!!!

I've just arranged with a lady from the forums to get me a Trio scarf and some gloves. I am rather happy right now. :D

Pazz 10-01-2005 09:46 PM

I should look into getting an Alkaline Trio t-shirt, I need some t-shirts and I want some band ones.

HitHardDrums55 10-01-2005 10:40 PM

Sep 10-02-2005 04:41 AM

Yeah I love how in All On Black for example he does these crazy fast ride-bell patterns. He is one of my favorite drummers and seeing him play live was a joy to watch.

Angry Balled Fists! 10-02-2005 04:49 AM

All On Black is one of my faovurite trio songs.

Bad Blood 10-02-2005 06:54 AM

It's better acoustic.

On Alk3's acoustic songs, Dan's voice is even more secksi!

HitHardDrums55 10-02-2005 07:57 AM

the only trio song i cant even remotely play on drums is sundials..way too fast

Untitled 10-02-2005 08:27 AM

Is the live dvd worth £12 i saw it yestoday but didnt buy it, i might next time in in manc.

Firecracker 10-02-2005 10:04 AM

Yeah get it, but i would draw the line at 14

Untitled 10-02-2005 10:29 AM

well its 12.99 i think. I could find it for ages in this huge shelf of music dvds, then i noticed i was litteraly staring at it

HitHardDrums55 10-02-2005 12:23 PM

what is a £ in comparison to a US $?

chumpradio 10-02-2005 12:33 PM

I would say £6.50=$10 almost. That's just an estimate though.

matterw4 10-02-2005 02:40 PM

theyre pretty good my rythm guitar player went to see them.

Yeah, the halloween one.

Oz Rembrandt 10-03-2005 11:42 AM

I think its well worth the buy, its good to see Matt forget lyrics, and its just great to hear the songs rawer than studio versions. Its a must buy for t3h die hard fans like me though. :thumb:

Untitled 10-03-2005 12:14 PM

I wouldnt say im a die hard fan.....

Just yet. I realy want an alk3 tatoo though, i dunno if i want the star, or the heart, and i dunno where, i want it behind my ear.

Bad Blood 10-03-2005 12:22 PM

I'd have the heart on my arm, i think it'd look awesome.

Why would you have it behind your ear?!
