Yea Corey is awsome

I think I prefer Matt though...not really sure why...I like e'km both though

Lieutenant Dan 01-31-2006 11:14 PM

Yeah, I like Corey for some reason I don't know, either. :P

I dig his tone more, too.

Britton 01-31-2006 11:20 PM

They both rock

How old is Corey?

How long have you been listening to Trivium?

Lieutenant Dan 01-31-2006 11:22 PM

Since I got the issue of Guitar World with Corey and Matt giving lessons on the CD. I believe that was last September/October. I think Corey is about 23.

Britton 01-31-2006 11:25 PM

Hmm I missed that issue...oops

that sounds about right.

Have you seen them live?

Lieutenant Dan 01-31-2006 11:44 PM

No. :upset:

Only been to one concert, ZZ Top at the Az State Fair. I've seen a couple videos of them live, though. Awesome.

This is a great site

they have a bunch of Trivium videos

The Feeding 02-01-2006 04:23 PM

Ascendancy is easily one of the best CD's released in a while, especially for metal. and don't go around calling them metalcore, that term makes me want to stab. they sound like Metallica without being being blasphemous to Metallica. Every member of that band has talent compared by few, not to mention the age, but this is how it was in the glory days of Slayer, Metallica,Megadeth and it's nice to see a band with talent getting respect.

Corey, the lead guitarist is 22 or 23
Matt is around 21
Travis is around 24

i've been a fan since i got the CD about a year ago

Britton 02-02-2006 12:23 PM

I think Matt is nearly twenty.

Yea the whole band is talented. I'd say matt has the most talant then cory Travis and Paulo.

Travis has awsome technique

Corey is 22. Matt is 20. Travis is 23.

Anyone from the UK seeing them on the upcoming tour?

I'm going to see them in Belfast on the 5th of March. Twice within a year! :) Seen them in September.

They are absolutely awesome live. Cool guys too. They came out to speak to the fans afterwards and I got a pick, autographs and photos with them :)

seth23k 02-02-2006 02:02 PM

i off to go see them in Leeds, my friend has seen them before and said they are awesome live, so i think it should be a good gig

They speed all of their songs up quite a bit when they play them live...personally, I think they get carried away with stage presence, and they forget the aspects of playing their songs clean and at the right tempo. Matt also tends to mess with the clean vocal parts of the song. I love the band, and Ascendancy is one of my favorite albums right now, but I was dissapointed when I saw them live. :(

Yea I saw them with Children Of Bodom and Amon Amarth. and afterwords
they all came out. I got a pick from matt (it's actually not one of his) I got his autograph. And I got to meet and talk to Alexi for about 5 minutes.

I had the best time when I saw that show. FOr one I had never even heard AA and they came out opened up the show and Kicked *** the whole time. THen Trivium came out. I was expecting a avrage show from them...but man was I wrong. Then there was the legendary COB...god I'll never forget that one.

|I'm listening to Ascendency for the first time in a while right now. It is such a great album. Well all except for Dying In Your Arms. I can't believe thats going to be the next single.
I love the drum beat at about 2 mins 30 in Drowned And Torn Asunder.

DC_rhoads82 02-03-2006 09:08 AM

I saw Trivium w/ Bodom in December, and Trivium w/ arch enemy last summer...both times I went for the other bands and Not Trivium, however they have grown on me. They put on great shows but I do however prefer it when Matt actually sings the clean parts instead of just mouthing them along to the croud. Its all good though, Corey's a killer player...and he plays a KV2...thats sweet. lol.

PoWaToM 02-03-2006 09:29 AM

I actually think Trivium are pretty good, but I saw them live when they weren't as big as they are now, and I have to say I much preferred 3IOB. Also, the singer was a prick to us whereas 3IOB were ****ing cool. So I'm biased :P

Grinch 02-03-2006 10:29 AM

i listened to pullder....... on the kerrang nomanies free album and loved it straight away i went out and bought acendency and liked it even more!!!! i managed to get about 10 people who preveosly hated metal into metal all because of trivium. They are amazing they dont allways have the shouting of other bands they have great singing aswell thats why i like them so much i still think they've got a long way to go though and could simply take over the metal scene!!

At the In Flames show I saw them at, they taped us for Dying In Your Arms and said that we'd see ourselves on TV soon. I think it might be the video for it.

burn_my_eyes 02-04-2006 12:36 PM

Don't get me wrong, i like Trivium, they are a good band live...
Yet with their recent publicity, it makes me feel they will change their style and their new album will be emo...
Hey, i could be wrong though..

They said they wew planning on one, although thats not what they had in mind.

deathscreamingsheep 02-04-2006 12:39 PM

Doubt that their new album will be 'emo'. They'll lose a lot of fans if they do considering how they've spent a year telling people how much they dislike the current side-swept hair pop-punk in eye-liner scene and I'm guessing they've become popular partly because they've been hyped enough to offer a decent alternative to that sort of music.

Plus, I've scene some pre-realease info for the new album and according to Matt it's gonna be more technical and they've got a big 8-10 minute instrumental in it as well.

I'll be on the left with the Iron Maiden Powerslave shirt.

I sure hope it's the video. That'd be badass.

LoL Good point.

To tell ya'll the truth though...I really couldn't give a good god damn what Trivium wears

RockGuitarist501 02-10-2006 08:40 AM

Im going to see Trivium tonight in Detroit with In Flames, Zao, and Devil Driver. Trivium is really the only band i like out of those other bands. but it should be a great show. I think Trivium kicks ***. :)
