Hehe, I nearly missed my lecture yesterday reading that stuff.
I did miss my lecture... |
I love that site, but it's set up terribly. The layout is awful.
Yeah, the layout is shocking.
It's bloody annoying.
I like Glenn better, really. Like Saxon said, he's got more flair.
A good example of showing Glenn's skill over K.K's would be Defenders of the Faith, listen to the solo on the first track, that's Glenn and then the second track it's K.K after that it's easy to tell who is playing which solo because K.K uses a lot more artificial harmonics and has slightly less speed about him. :thumb: |
With most two guitarist bands theres always that dynamic of having a main lead guitarist, even if both are considered leads. Theres almost never going to be two guys that are exactly the same skill-wise, and I'm pretty sure they know that. That's probably why Glenn does most of the solos. But either way, much respect to both of em. Quite possibly the greatest guitar pair in metal.
Is thier new stuff worth the listen?
Yes. It's probably one of the better comeback albums in metal.
Is thier new stuff worth the listen?
Get the old stuff first, but AOR is ok. |

Yeah, when they have dual solos it's great. Ram It Down is brilliant. |
Ram It Down is great, but I really love it when they solo one after the other so that it sounds like they're duelling (a la The Sentinel and Desert Plains) :D
KK and Glenn are indeed the best guitar duo on metal. Closey followed by the H-Team
First person to know who the H-Team are gets a cookie :D |
I want to know...
I have been listening to more Priest than normal. My allergies were pretty bad today so I stayed home. I think I listened to Turbo, Stained Class, British Steel and Hellbent for Leather about twice each. I think I listened to Angel of Retribution and Painkiller about 5 times each. Just felt like sharing this info with you guys.
NP: Priest - Leather Rebel |
Exodus!
Well, they used to be the Exodus duo :( |
I need more Exodus.

You need Bonded By Blood. My equal favourite album ever with Painkiller and Rust In Peace
As much as I have always loved Priest, I think my love for them has grown. I almost like them as much as Maiden and Dream Theater now.
My love for Priest has finally surpased my love for Maiden. It took a long time, but its definite now.
As much as I think Bruce is great, I seem to like Rob's vocals better.
Me too. Bruce is great, but he only really has one singing style. Rob can do Painkiller, go to Diamonds and Rust acoustic and then Metal Gods.
Judas Priest are my third favourite band.
First is Pink Floyd, second is...?

Very true. His voice on All Gun Blazing and United are other examples of his excellent vocal range. NP: Living After Midnight |

............:eek:............. Im sorry, but for me maiden>priest always. |
First is Pink Floyd, second is...?
Mike Oldfield. http://www.last.fm/user/HeavyRiva/ |
I suspected that.
Painkiller is my favourite Metal album with Defenders of the Faith being my fourth.
It's a close call between Priest and Maiden but Maiden have far superior basslines and more 5 star albums, and I hate Priest for Turbo and British Steel but having said that Priest have Glenn Tipton, and Ron Halford who I feel is better than Bruce Dickinson. I'm drooling over The Sentinel right now. |
Painkiller is also one of my top metal albums.
Painkiller is in my top 5 albums, but Stained Class could possibly take its place.
