Howdy, I recently posted for my first time in the Rock and Metal forum, and found myself banned soon after. Previous to this I had posted almost exclusively in the Bass forum without a single problem. As it turns out I had broken rule number seven without realizing it. Now I am wondering if it would be possible to get my previous account reactivated due to my good intentions shown in every post except the last, and my promise to stay in the bass forum where the rules are known. The account I wish reactiviated is "carefree_wanderer". Thank you for your time.

What is your user name? We don't want to you not visit R and M. You have to realize that R and M is one of the busiest sections in the site and we have to enforce the rules pretty tough.

ImsorryIbroketherules 10-03-2004 04:33 PM

and I just realized what the next person is going to say, you will be unbanned in three days or one week. However, I wasn't sure if I was banned or deactivated completely because I didn't receive any type of "You Are Banned" message

You're just banned, it won't be that long. You didn't get de-activated. :p

Got two of the four. A fellow mod got the other two. :thumb:

SonorKen 10-03-2004 08:56 PM

Yea, its gettin silly again. I updated the rules, its now against the rules to make game threads....

Kingofdudes 10-03-2004 08:56 PM

OMG NAZI MODS!

Good Job :thumb:

I agree

A Suggestion: Why not delete the Metal Game and Guitarist Game threads? They dont contribute any conversation, and people are mainly using it for postcount ++

3074326 10-03-2004 09:02 PM

I love when I edit posts and it doesn't say I edit them.

holywars advertised, if you have no idea what's going on.

EDIT: Looks like another mod edited the post at the same time I did...

SonorKen 10-03-2004 09:05 PM

And, to put this goofy idea about splitting Rock and Metal, it isnt going to happen. Anyone who creates threads about it from now on will be perm banned. Im sick of closing these goofy threads.....

SonorKen 10-03-2004 09:21 PM

1 more thing! Im tired of all the one or three word responses to posts. These are spam. If you have something intelligent to say then post it, if not shut up. Im tired of reading posts and spending half my time scrolling through idiotic crap. I would rather read content that is worthwhile and interesting. If you post spam in threads your gonna get nailed.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-03-2004 09:50 PM

Rough day eh?

I was wondering, the new game threads are closed because they're overdone right?

Somebody needs a hug :)

*hugs*

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-03-2004 09:53 PM

Oh, and one other question..How do I subscribe threads?

SonorKen 10-03-2004 09:56 PM

haha nah, I don't need a hug. I really like this place and spend alot of time reading here and get tired of seeing stupid spam responses so I know the SERIOUS members here have to feel the same way.

I don't know how to subscribe to threads, I think it may actually be disabled.....

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-03-2004 10:19 PM

Thanks, but I figured it out. You go to "Thread Tools" then it says subscribe threads.

You can have a hug anyways :D

Riva 10-04-2004 02:29 AM

Seeing as I wanna be on the band wagon...

*hugs SFK*

But seriously, have you mods thought about my suggestion in regards to the Featured Artists thread? Because I think the whole thing has fizzled out, but I'm sure if there was a visible sticky, there would be much more interest in it.

http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213795&page=41&pp=25

The post I suggested it in is there.

Also, how do you do that Offline business, SFK? You know, your secret viewing of the forums, while you don't appear in the users online section. You can trust me, I'm reliable. :)

SonorKen 10-04-2004 05:39 AM

I like the featured artist thread. The only problem now is that we have too many stickies. Once the competition is done I think we should sticky the featured artist thread.

SonorKen 10-04-2004 11:25 AM

I had actually thought about making one thread and stickying it to put all the "stickies in". I havent really thought about what to name it tho...

Iai 10-04-2004 11:52 AM

Hmm....I'd say that was a bad idea because newbies might not know where to look for Pit Rules. It would free up space, but could lead to that space being taken up by stupid threads.

SonorKen 10-04-2004 12:33 PM

The rules thread and suggestion thread would still be on the front page, seperate fromt he stickies thread......

I have a good idea that would limit stupid newb threads and posts. When a user creates an account, they are not automatically allowed to post or make threads. They can only post or make threads after they read the rules of each forum. At the end of the "rules" thread, there should be a box saying,"I have read all the rules, and have chosen to abide by the rules." only by clicking that box can you unlock your ability to make posts or threads. Then, everyone would have to at least skim the rules in order to post or make threads.

Did you read the Terms of Registration when you registered. Chances are you didnt, and just clicked "I agree". The same will happen with your idea.
