Robert Randolph is playing a free concert near me. I hope my dad won't be a bastard and take me.

ambiguouslyjay 06-26-2005 07:19 PM

If so, can you recomend some songs?

My god, that would suck.

BSC = Big Summer Classic

6Stringer 06-26-2005 09:06 PM
The venue BSC is playing at near me is unbelievably easy to sneak into...I don't wanna drop $40 on admission with all those little crafty tents to check out and t-shirts to buy. That'll be a great concert though..I'm a pretty big Xavier Rudd fan.
I'm gonna see G. Love & Special Sauce July 13th....$15 can't beat that, they're my favorite band anyways, I'd pay $50 if it cost that much.

I'll be seeing Matisyahu July 12th, if you don't know who he is check him out, I think he's going to tour with Trey soon or he already did.

Blues Traveler are playing a free concert on my town green the 23rd.

OAR is the 29th.

August 12 Bela Fleck Trio and MMW at the Newport JVC Jazz Festival.

Aug. 21st Allman Bros. with moe.

That's what I've got scheduled for the rest of the summer.
I saw Xavier Rudd on Thursday, such an amazing performer. I bought his new Cd Solace its excellent.

e p 07-03-2005 01:32 PM

Saw Victor Wooten's Soul Circus on July 1st.

WOW

6Stringer 07-03-2005 06:04 PM

I've seen Vic live his just so amazing live.

Jam2Me 07-03-2005 08:44 PM

Any of you guys attend the various Big Summer Classics?

My date is the last stop on the tour.

I wanna hear how the atmosphere is, I heard its like a traveling festival...and sumo wrestling and other "BIG" things.

For galactic I like this one song, "Black eyed pea"

6Stringer 07-05-2005 10:47 PM

Anyone like the Big Wu? I did have a copy of Tracking Buffalo through the Bathtub but I think I lost it =/. They are an amazing jam band and can write some pretty catchy stuff like "Kangaroo" and "Gimme A Raise."

Jam2Me 07-12-2005 05:30 PM

Whoa this thread was on Page 3 :o

Anyways, doesn anyone know if Trey Anastasio has any unplugged/acoustic CDs? Any of his solo work has a lot of acoustic stuff? I realized I like all of his Phish songs that have acoustic guitar, he's pretty darn good with it.

Anyone been to good concerts lately?

Lunch 07-12-2005 05:38 PM

I was supposed to go to the Allmans/moe. show but then I couldn't.

jpj 07-12-2005 07:09 PM

I saw John Fogerty/Mellencamp last week and Chicago/Earth, Wind & Fire a couple days ago.

saw dave matthews on the 26th at nissan, good show, although nissan sucks, and i would've liked more older stuff, not so crazy about alot of the new material
I saw John Fogerty/Mellencamp last week and Chicago/Earth, Wind & Fire a couple days ago.
Chicago/Earth, Wind & Fire sold out a venue near me I wasn't too interested though.

Everyone I've heard from says John Fogerty/Mellencamp was a great show.

robo2448 07-13-2005 06:47 PM

I'm seeing OAR this Friday. Should be pretty good.

jpj 07-13-2005 06:49 PM

It sold out here, too. EW&F I thought sucked pretty hard, Chicago would've been a lot better had it been louder. I couldn't even hear some of the guitar solos.

Robo, my brother is going to see O.A.R. tonight.

Jam2Me 07-13-2005 06:55 PM

I'm going on the 29th mainly for the girls not the music.

robo2448 07-13-2005 07:03 PM
I'm going on the 29th mainly for the girls not the music.
Same here. I like the music too, but going with a bunch of girls helps.

i saw OAR at the naval academy in annapolis MD back in april, many more good looking girls than say, santana

Jam2Me 07-13-2005 07:24 PM

Yeah OAR and Dave Matthews Band, I go to those concerts with 3 things on my mind:

1. Girls
2. Drugs/Alcohol
3. Music

Girls under the influence of drugs/alcohol make life easy.

I enjoy Dave more than OAR, I only like a handful of songs by OAR. Live music is always fun though.

I'm getting really excited for the Big Summer Classic, I think that's gonna be my summer highlight concert.

Daniel! 07-13-2005 09:37 PM

I just listened to some Keller Williams live tracks, that is some awsome stuff. It does start to sound the same after a while though.

6Stringer 07-13-2005 09:49 PM

I'm seeing Jack Johnson in September for the girls, booze and music.
I just listened to some Keller Williams live tracks, that is some awsome stuff. It does start to sound the same after a while though.
I missed seeing him live but have a live recording of the show I missed. His stuff sounds the same to me after about... 10 minutes.

Wow, I live in Annapolis, but I didn't go to that show. A bunch of kids from my school did though.

pegwedge 07-13-2005 10:36 PM

So I'll ask one last time. Anyone going to All Good except for me?

tmb72187 07-15-2005 09:03 PM
Wow, I live in Annapolis, but I didn't go to that show. A bunch of kids from my school did though.
it was good times, you going to the OAR show at merrieweather?

jpj 07-15-2005 09:21 PM
So I'll ask one last time. Anyone going to All Good except for me?
I'm so pissed I can't go to that, it's only 90 minutes. I probably won't be able to go to it for another 3 years.

Allmans and moe. tomorrow :D

Walrus Gumboot 07-16-2005 04:23 PM
Wow, I live in Annapolis, but I didn't go to that show. A bunch of kids from my school did though.
It seems like the hxc Abercrombie and Fitch preppies in my school always like OAR and DMB. They are not too far away from being your typical Deadhead/Phish head, but they do tend to be much more clean-cut
