I bought Green Day's new album "American Idiot" today. It is way better than I expected it to be. And I expected it to be really good.

I also god My Red Cell's "13inmy31". It's really really cool from what I've heard.

Happymeal 09-21-2004 05:12 AM

Hah, you always surprise me Tape, I didn't know you like pop punk too.:)

Anyways, I'm loving Two Ton Shoe again right now.. I call 'em pop funk. Listen to "Medicine" and "Believe" if you're interested.

CommieCanada 09-21-2004 06:56 AM

The Ashtray Girl 09-21-2004 01:31 PM
Has anyone heard the Head Automatica album yet? I know Dan the Automator had his hands in that but I never heard anything much about the album. I should probably buy it.

They're really really really good - get it!

vallely2004 09-21-2004 03:00 PM

I've been diggin' Desert Sessions lately, 9 & 10 and 7 & 8, they are just great and you can tell everyone involved had a great time being involved and the people involved are just free to do whatever and the songs out of it are amazing.

Luxor 09-21-2004 03:10 PM

Well_Respected_Man 09-21-2004 03:58 PM

br3ad_man 09-21-2004 05:17 PM

I have Lincense To Ill but have never really given it a full listen.

br3ad_man 09-21-2004 11:25 PM

It's so good man. I've been listening to that one and their new record. Listen to it.

I'm listening to Elliott Smith now.

br3ad_man 09-22-2004 08:43 PM

I just picked up a new copy of "source Tags and Codes" from David Jones for $6, new. Nice.

MindEnemy 09-22-2004 09:56 PM

Current faves: The Killers "Somebody Told Me"
and of course the new Prodigy cd...it is raw!

Silvermedalmafia 09-22-2004 10:39 PM

Tom Waits, he is amazing. Also Crash Test Dummies, I'm feeling rather mellow as of now.

Tapeworm 09-23-2004 05:41 AM

Well, today I had an envelope pushed through my letterbox. Inside the envelope was a package from a friend with loads of music that I am unable to get in my small town. I got:

Cog - Live at the Roxy Theatre
Cursive - Domestica
Cursive - Such Blinding Stars for Starving Eyes
Desaparecidos - Read Music Speak Spanish
Dredg - Leitmotif
Interpol - Antics
Minus the Bear - Highly Refined Pirates
Modest Mouse - Good News...
Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica
Opeth - Damnation
Radiohead - Live at the Rod Laver Arena
The Cure - Disintegration
The Faint - Media
The Killers - Hot Fuss
The String Quartet Tribute to AFI
The String Tribute to Tool - Metamorphic
Thursday - War All The Time

and a real copy of
Coheed and Cambria - Second Stage Turbine Blade

I am so fucking excited right now. I have only listened to Coheed, and I have heard a couple of the albums (or parts of them before). I love all of these bands (maybe not The Killers so much), so I'm in for an awesome next few days.

I've heard these albums and they are all good.

I haven't had much sleep and since I've had a bit of girl trouble lately, I'm really emo...I should get some sleep.
I just picked up a new copy of "source Tags and Codes" from David Jones for $6, new. Nice.
I thought you'd be proud of me Tangy..

Tangy zizzle 09-23-2004 07:34 PM

Hadn't seen that one, but....

Holy crap! $6??? I hate that store then, that album should be sold for like $90.

But good on you! It's a cool album to own, the artwork is very good.

Tangy zizzle 09-23-2004 07:37 PM

Because your's are not O-ffic-ial.

Plus, I got my copy of Songs for $3.50... therefore I win.

Tangy zizzle 09-23-2004 07:39 PM

New Hot Snakes album is pretty damm good. Dunno if it's better than Suicide Invoice, but gimme a few more listens and I can give my honest opinion.

My girlfriend told me she got a random e-mail that had one of the songs off the new album. I told her to keep the email so I could give it a listen, she accidentally deleted it though. :(

Your girlfriend has awesome music taste man.

I'm having a strange craving for A Perfect Circle. For some reason I own both their albums. While they are good, I wouldn't normally buy them...

el doctor 09-23-2004 08:40 PM

Lately, I've been listening to a bit of post-rock; mostly Rachel's, Mogwai, and Slint.

sugar kane 09-24-2004 04:40 AM

modest mouse, bright eyes, death cab, the appleseed cast, velvet underground, the promise ring, cap'n jazz, the smiths.

br3ad_man 09-24-2004 06:45 AM

More hip hop today...The Streets are cool.

Tomahawk 09-24-2004 08:43 AM

I downloaded the Head Automatica album, so I'm kinda digging that.

Also, I just heard A Perfect Circle's new cover of John Lennon's "Imagine" on the radio... can somebody please explain to me what the fuck is up with that?
