Haha, I did so a while ago, and unfortunately for me, the album and I didn't hit off very well.
|
not? after "Brave Murder Day" I appreciated "Dance of the December Souls" - maybe you shall give it another try?!
do you know "In Mourning", though they are more in the direction of Opeth, but you might like it. |
Can anyone recommend me something similar or a good accompaniment to Katatonia's 'Brave Murder Day'?
The Morningside - The Wind, The Trees and the Shadows of the Past It's pretty much Brave Murder Day with a whole lot of Agalloch influence, but it's still decent. |

Deinonychus - Mournument probably the most depressing album I've heard |
I find Brave Murder Day to be very motivating!

I was talking about the Deinonychus... I don't remember liking Brave Murder Day, Dance of December Souls is where it's at for old school Katatonia. |
Brave Murder Day gets old fast.
|
katatonia just suck other than having their rare moments riff-wise, i did use to like brave murder day and jhva elohim meth

Naw Dance Of December Souls is the only good old Katatonia and Viva Emptiness and The Great Cold Distance are awesome. |

Gonna skip this for a while. Downloading very recent works makes me bad. It sounds like Agalloch with Agalloch influences, haha. |
well it's got the whole track listing in the name thing going, same as Brave Murder Day :P

that's not really special or anything, there are other bands that sound like that. |

Simple explanation for that. It was written in the band's first incarnation in the early 80s. It's my favourite Pagan Altar record too. Having said that I love "Rising of the Dark Lord" off M&M - almost enough to make that my favourite album. |
Pretty much all of the songs on M&M are elite as hell.
|
Pretty much everything by that band is elite as hell.
|
Last two posts are truth.
|
even rym recognizes the inalienable elitery of pagan altar
