Naked Lunch still left me confused and feeling like I was wasting my time though

I'd be curious to see what you'd think of The Soft Machine

I find Naked Lunch overbearingly linear and simple in comparison, although clearly the superior work. His later stuff is just a ****ing mess.

I'll definitely check it out.

I will read Naked Lunch again before long before I fully make my mind up. At worst reading it helped put the film in perspective a little.

You need to read naked lunch at least twice before forming an opinion, the first time i read it i thought it was pretty silly

I have no interest in the movie since it's basically an entirely new work of fiction based on bits and pieces of the book mixed with content from burroughs real life. i'll probably end up seeing it one day.

considering the virtually unfilmable source material what Cronenberg did to make it work was rather clever.

it was a much better adaption then that of Ballard's[I] Crash[/I], at the very least :p

Crash was one of those books I actually tore into pieces after finishing

it used to be 18, but then they moved it to 19 which never made sense because Quebec is like 15 minutes away and the drinking age there is 18
