You know, Tuesdays Gone is a cover they recorded live in some radio station they had practically invaded with a bunch of musics finest.

Jerry Cantrell, Lynrd Skynrd, Pepper Keenan... even Les Claypool did banjo for it!!

Even though metallica is my favorite band, Skynyrd's version blows Metallicas off planet earth.

That piano solo, just....touching.

/feels really emo

Tis a good cover of a goooooood song.

munky_magik 02-21-2005 06:27 PM

It isn't meant to be continuosly on the go.
It was created with the purpose of keeping all Metallica related topics together, not as a general Metallica discussion thread.

Fernandes Power 02-21-2005 06:30 PM

I swear I have seen a fair amount of just Metallica discussion going on... its the same thing really, dude.

not a general discussion?

led_zep_luvr 02-21-2005 06:40 PM

who originally made "breadfan"?

munky_magik 02-21-2005 06:41 PM

Not really.
This thread was designed to contain all the reasons for starting threads on Metallica, a conglomerate of 'Tallica threads if you will.
What's happening instead is people are inventing topics to discuss just because this official thread exists.
A lot of people seem to have got it into their heads that a band gets an official thread because they're important, which is not the case.
This is effectively like the community thread, but dedicated to Metallica. Which was not why it was made.

Well there's mostly just Metallica talk in here. It, for the most part, stops the idiotic threads, but it's mostly just Metallica fans talking about Metallica
The list starts to get thin around Load, and then it ends around St. Anger
yea it stops at fixxxer if you go chronologically,

Chu 02-21-2005 08:51 PM

I seriously think St. Anger's good compared to Load/ReLoad.
Hahahaha, sure the drums are whack and no solos etc. But it's got some decent guitar imo...

solosliveforever 02-21-2005 08:52 PM

i think they died around the black album cuz they hired bob rock, hes that one guy that takes great tough bands and turns them to modern pop crap, i wanna hear the kill em all, and master of puppets days, wheres the solos kirk

Chu 02-21-2005 08:55 PM

Chilis aren't crap, Bob Rock's not that bad....

But yes, they died Black Album, I like St. Anger, maybe I'm the only one!
But meh, they'll never do another Master of Puppets.

willis2441 02-21-2005 08:56 PM

the drums arent whacked, lars just rimshots everytime he hits the snare, which gets very old, very kwik, its is actually hard to do,so technically he got better.

where talking about songs, not albums. there have been plenty of good songs since the black album
for example
- most of the black album, fuel, 2x4, etc
