But for that Jeff and Kerry would have to be good guitar players.
Truth.
Whatever. If you guys want to listen to one-dimensional, poorly thought out death metal like Obituary then there's no way I can convince you otherwise, you just have to realize that your complaints about Behemoth are minor for the most part and come off as excuses for not liking them more than anything.
You really don't get it. You don't' have to convince us not to like Obituary, and we don't' have to "justify" our complaints with Behemoth.

OMG PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT TASTES

Shattered_Future 11-30-2007 04:29 PM

My one complaint with Behemoth besides the fact that they only write 1/8 good songs is that the snare drum is TOO GODDAMN LOUD ON THE APOSTASY!

AA-12 11-30-2007 04:33 PM

Anything Behemoth is too loud.

The Apostasy is their worst album this decade anyway.

Drum volume also has alot to do with speakers, on some speakers/headphones I have drums are way too loud and on others you can barely hear them.

Shattered_Future 11-30-2007 04:40 PM

That's true, but in the case of Behemoth, the snare drum overpowers EVERYTHING, regardless of what I'm listening to it on.
do you have any clips of your playing?
No soloing clips, just the songs on my myspace with solos in them. myspace.com/ausgeblutet

EDIT: Maby I'll record some improv so you can all laugh at how much I really suck.

Edit again: Here's me just fuckin' around @ 200 BPM

Dude I like your voice.

Invicta_Veritas 11-30-2007 05:57 PM

Thanks.

publicastration 11-30-2007 06:12 PM

Anyone listen to 3 Mile Scream?

They're not bad, and I like McGachy's voice.

I hope he's not actually Cryptopsy's new vocalist though.

Jesus your tone is horrible bra.

Wtf does your rig consist of?

publicastration 11-30-2007 07:50 PM

Wow yeah your tone sucks.

Even recording off my cheap Cube 30 sounds way better than that.

Invicta_Veritas 11-30-2007 09:04 PM

My "rig" now consists of my little peavey practice amp, haha. I had to sell my hughes and kettner stack.

I record my actual material with the Fender metalhead at the school though, and my line 6 and digitech distortion pedals.

And I'm really not concerned with what the intranetz people think about my tone, because even though everyone on here bitches about it, damn near everyone I run into in reality has no problem with it......yes, it's extremely gritty and buzzsaw-y, but it fits my music well and sounds great live.

i am the robots 11-30-2007 09:06 PM

Good tone = Scars Of Ages

Deth 11-30-2007 09:06 PM

I hate tones like that live. It usually makes me want to kick the guitarist in the nuts after about 2 songs.

masscows 11-30-2007 09:08 PM
Good tone = Scars Of Ages
your random interjections are mildly annoying, but yeah you're kind of right, that album does have a good, fitting guitar tone.

i am the robots 11-30-2007 09:10 PM

I am a bit blunt I guess.

Oh well, that album just sounds so perfect.

And Axl, I couldn't figure out what, but something was killing your music for me, and yeah, it's the tone, sorry bro. :/

Oh, and Miasma by The Black Dahlia Murder = amazing guitar tone too.

And Facing The Thousand by Light This City.

Invicta_Veritas 11-30-2007 09:13 PM

The funny thing is, I've made a million adjustments to my tone over the past 2 years that you people have been bitching about it, so I really think you're all full of shit, added to the fact that no one in real life has an issue with it.

Deth 11-30-2007 09:14 PM

Yeah, we're all just focusing on one valid issue to piss you off.

i am the robots 11-30-2007 09:16 PM

Learn to take criticism bro.

Invicta_Veritas 11-30-2007 09:17 PM

When did I say that?

Come on, seriously. All I'm saying is I'm going to trust the poeple and musicians I'm around and that I write and record with more than some kids on the net, in addition to my point about having changed my tone anyway.

Mappy: I'll take criticism when it's valid. I like my tone, everyone around me likes my tone, it sounds great in the studio, it sounds great on cd, etc.

Tyler 11-30-2007 09:18 PM

I'm sure the people you write and record with are much more impartial than people on the internets

Deth 11-30-2007 09:19 PM

You dismissed 3 valid opinions of your tone because we're "full of shit" apparently.

We're what would be your fanbase, and an unbiased opinion. You'd be stupid to just ignore it.
