57%_Raw 03-29-2005 02:21 AM

can u recomend bands that have a sound similar to circle takes the square, i have tried a lot of bands mention in this forum; jeromes dream, city of catipillar, saetia, orchid but they dont seem to be as technically surpreme and artistic as ctts.

BuddyBigsby 03-29-2005 02:30 AM

"artist as ctts"

57%_Raw 03-29-2005 02:47 AM

Also could someone please clear up the differnce between metal and metalcore, i dont think thats been stressed to much accross the thread and it would be useful for genre classification

BuddyBigsby 03-29-2005 02:47 AM

Metalcore has hardcore in it.

metal doesn't.

Ummm......why is this sub forum labled "/emo" ??????

RetiredAt21 03-29-2005 11:55 AM

Because you touch yourself at night.
Ummm......why is this sub forum labled "/emo" ??????
Because emo and hardcore go hand in hand.

ITRIEDVOODOOONCE 03-29-2005 02:06 PM

because emo and hardcore are on the opposite side of the spectrum in refrence to punk

BuddyBigsby 03-29-2005 02:23 PM

Actually I find that the only thing that seperates emo/screamo and hardcore is the actual music. Lyrically, spiritually, etc. it's all punk rock.

Bitter 03-29-2005 03:27 PM
Because emo and hardcore go hand in hand.
No, when I was at school today i went on MX and all it said was "/emo". Oh well.
A-F Records will be re-issuing Inquisition's Revolution, I Think It's Called Inspiration on compact disc format this Fall, with an LP version to follow soon thereafter.

The label had this to say about the band/release:

INQUISITION released a single CD & LP years ago entitled "Revolution, I Think It's Called Inspiration", which was a HUGE influence on Anti-Flag, among others. After Inquisition broke up, the members went on to bands you might be familiar with: Strike Anywhere (who, incidentally, were named after an Inquisition song entitled "Strike Anywhere"), Ann Beretta and River City High. We're working closely with Thomas from Strike Anywhere to make this a very special reissue, having dug into the archives for the original recording tapes, artwork, and a whole bunch of other cool stuff!
You can check out the cover art by clicking here.
Hmm, maybe i'll get this. Hopefully they improved the sound quality.

Let's Chop Cats! 03-29-2005 04:13 PM

Awesome. I might get the LP and just download it.
