No prob, just more nice to keep things concise.
You're an Aussie bad taste? Seen any good bands lately?
Indeed. Not really the gigging type, I'm stuck in the past regarding music. Checked out your band before, pretty cool stuff, even though doom isn't my thing (yet). |

overrated as balls tbh
|
theyre very unheard of where i live, i only know a couple of people here that even heard of em. theyre great for long drives if you ask me.
introduce me to some better bands if you know any though. |
Read the rest of the thread.
|
as far as stoner metal goes check out Sleep, High on Fire, and Ufomammut
|
will do, and ill check out the rest of this thread but not the whole damn thing, 500+ pages?
|
Right. Just pick some random pages.
|
I think I'm gonna give Drawing Down the Sun another chance. I really like the lyrics and a lot of the time I'll end up loving the music because of that.
It's worth a shot. |
What's your band? Link?
http://www.myspace.com/doompodpeople or podpeopledoom - Either way you'll get us. http://www.podpeople.com.au - I used to play for these guys http://www.bloodduster.com
dumb question, didnt read any of the thread. tell me you guys love kyuss.
Love Kyuss - Saw them in 93. I have really gone off QOTSA though over the past two albums, they've lost the fire as far as I'm concerned. |
You were with Pod people? niiice man, I have Doom Saloon and it's pretty good!

Thanks man, I'm still in Pod and we've just released a new album with a difficult to pronounce latin title and artwork that is so good it makes me want to design album concepts and just give them to the artist to do all day such is his talent. http://www.glennoart.com/ I used to be in Blood Duster. The new Pod album is Mons Animae Mortuorum (monz anim-ay mor-2-or-um) Enough spamming. How good is the new Wino album!!!! |
any of you guys know a US distro that carries Lord Vicar Fear No Pain?
|
http://www.smartcart.com/hellride/catalog/
Go here - Search Lord Vicar - It's 16 bucks US. Chris' Hellride distro/site is an essential resource for US doom fiends. |
I saw it listed on hellride, but it was out of stock.
|
PTC Pod People played a rad show here a month or three ago.
Bloodduster are **** though. |

Finally giving The Puritan a listen. Which is kind of strange that I've waited this long to listen to it, since Reverend Bizarre is my favorite Doom band.
Most of it doesn't sound that far from RB though. Makes me curious as to why they broke up. |
If The Puritan sounds like Rev, I'm not interested.
Lord Vicar is good. |

I know. But sometimes if I like the message it gives I'll enjoy listening the music because of that and I can appreciate it in a different way. Like Warning; I never liked them until I first read the lyrics. |
