You gotta go there to come back*
Close, but no cigar :p |
4 fave bands are sum41, greenday, blink182 and stereophonics.
/mianstream.
Yeah, when I mentioned that your favorite bands were the four I mentioned earlier to my friend and guitarist Sam, he said he wasn't surprised. I asked why. He said "because those are the four most overplayed mainstream Pop-Punk bands out there". Yup. -Mike |
You gotta go there to come back*
Close, but no cigar :p
Oh, so close. I got the idea, right? And the cover has a little kid drinking on it. Yeah. That was a little wierd. -Mike |
Muse arnt even pop-punk  I dont think any of them are over played over here.
|
What are Muse, then? Alt? That sounds about right. They remind me of Radiohead sometimes. I mean, compare the singers' voices. There are similarites. Some of the riffs and stuff sound similar, especially in "Hysteria" (shades of parts of "Paranoid Android"). Blah, blah, blah.
-Mike |
I dont think muse and radiohead are anything alike, muse are definatly Alt, not pop-punk, stereophonics are indie too.
My too biggist music loves - pop-punk and Indie. I dont know loads of indie bands, i go in the A+I forum and somtimes i dont even know half of the bands on there. |
I have the same problem, despite loving Alt/Indie myself.
Yay! Now I have Jack Johnson stuck in my head. Actually, Donovan Frankenriter (sp?) featuring Jack Johnson doing the song "Free". It's a fun song. Oops! Now it's changed to Michael Andrews/Gary Jules cover of "Mad World". Yay! Creepy song! -Mike |
Mad world got christmas number 1  it should of been the darkness
This year its gonna be the band aid remade version, if they do it. |
What do you mean, Christmas #1? And do you mean the band "The Darkness"? Actually, what did any of the last post mean?
|
Yes, it was number 1 on christmas week, thats a big thing.
The darkness' song should of got it. |
muse are actually prog rock
|
^^^^^
Yea, muse are kind of prog and alt fused together |

I get bored easy, i come here, post, and is still bored. Im trying not to over take you Jonny.
Ha Ha, manchester has a big wheel, like the london eye, but better. |
What are the real names of everybody again? I know Untitled is Butler and their's a James somewhere and either AdamJones or InMyPlace is Craig...
I'm terrible with names. -Mike |
adamjones is ben
InMyPlace is craig I'm jess and I'm also off for dinner   |
Right, so let's get this right-
Untitled=Butler AdamJones=Ben InMyPlace=Craig duffroxmysox=Jess and off for dinner Spokey Dorkey! -Mike |
My house is a mess of cables and amps and guitars right now
jam session in session! |
Jamming is fun
|
This ones kinda cool, as the second guitarist's amp is way too bassy for a guitar sound, and sinc ethere is ono bassist, it fills nicely in for bass lines.
And m we have a percussion player, basically a friend who is tapping in rythym. very ramshackeled |
Its cool with me, my amps more power full and louder then both of my guitarest.
Im gonna wear earplugs when i jam not, itll help me hear a lot better, then bass dosnt have to be as loud as guitar. The earplugs dont let high freq waves, into your ears, so cant hear them as much, and the lows are increased. If you look when a band plays, the bass player will have them in, and others not. |
Jamming is great fun, when me and one of my guitarists from my new band do it we always end up playing something rocky/bluesy.
Then with my other guitarist it ends up a bit more metal. And for those that don't know, my names Andy  |
Ok, ill make a mental note of that.
/gets out a metal pad and pen /mentaly rights "lord brummingtons name is andy" /puts it in mental fileing cabinat under "A" Me=Butler, if thats not figured. We try and get a punk/rock sound, but our rythem is an aqward sod, so it makes writeing difficult. |
If I start calling you Geezer, its a good thing.
|
Ha ha, know ones ever called me that, proberly cuase non of my mates no geezer butler, ah well.
|
Geezer Butler = one of my main influences on Bass. |
Cone from teh sum41, made me wanna play bass, and of course the bass GOD Hoppus
Im insperation is now Chris Wolstenholme. |
My main influences are Geezer, Cliff Burton, Steve Harris and Flea.
4 completly different styles which is good, allows for some fun stuff to be created. |
