We tried that in my front yard when it snowed one day...

Needless to say, it didn't work very well.
You have to go down a sharp incline.

Forlorn Hope 02-27-2006 07:53 PM
Duh!!!

It wouldn't be the same as in the finnish snow though. :p

You can in the US as well. It snowed once since I've lived in portland.

my bro and I took the trucks off an old sk8 board and snowboarded down the really steep hills in the neighborhood. :)
Ha I used to do that too until I landed on my wrist. Now my wrist hurts sometimes when I play guitar :(

Shadows 02-27-2006 07:53 PM

Dammit Mitch.

I like when I fall. haha. It feels like your actually doing something besides, going to a slick, snowcovered hill, at speeds of around 15 mph on a board.

lawl. I know how to fall pretty well, although my knees always take the beating no matter what it is.

by the way... I did this on the steep hill in my neighborhood, thus when you fell...it hurt/felt good...cuz below the slick layer of snow...pavment.

repcak 02-28-2006 05:05 AM

i live in vienna, because i study, but i'm coming from a city called Bad Ischl. this year we had sooo much snow as never... even the military came to help us with the snow. the houses collapsed because of the heavieness of the snow.

well, on this website you can see some nice photos :D

PsychoticFlubber 02-28-2006 05:28 AM

Where I live in Massachusetts, we get a good amount of snow. Except snow isn't the problem here, it's the cold. One year I remember school being closed because it was -45 degrees F with the wind chill factor. That was fun... except for the fact you couldn't be outside longer than 20 minutes without getting frost bite.

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 02-28-2006 01:59 PM

SimonCore 02-28-2006 02:29 PM

deffinatly warheart. it is such an epic song. bodom rules!

SimonCore 02-28-2006 02:40 PM

^^ Mines probably 'Follow the reaper', or 'Hatebreeder'...Warheart has the best lyrics though.

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 02-28-2006 02:50 PM

Trashed,Lost,And Strungout of course

AA-12 02-28-2006 02:55 PM

Silent Night, Bodom Night

I'm Charming 02-28-2006 02:59 PM

Enough with the Bodom talk you n00bs, your ruining our quality snow talk.

I've only been in snow twice, once in Oregon. It snowed before Xmas(I believe it was.) That was sweet.

The weather idiots on TV always say it will and it never happens.

MRDuCran 02-28-2006 03:03 PM

We've been warned about off-topic stuff at least twice. Although you guys see this as a "community thread for Bodom fans", the mods don't like it.

kurrpt 02-28-2006 03:04 PM

hows the UM Ducran

I'm Charming 02-28-2006 03:08 PM
We've been warned about off-topic stuff at least twice. Although you guys see this as a "community thread for Bodom fans", the mods don't like it.
Don't start that sir, you spam as much as we all do in here. :p

It really is a community thread with a bodom theme. Though we should try and keep the spam level down somewhat though. I mean life comes up though, we can't always stick to a stern discussion of Bodom.

Though I dislike their runing our nice snow discussion.

Onto ice!....jk.

I have several Bodom power tabs, that I need to work on today in addition to what I'm currently working on. lol

I'm going to learn the cool parts of "oops I did it again"... I may learn some of Bastards of Bodom or Triple Corpse Hammerblow. I don't know yet.

MRDuCran 02-28-2006 03:10 PM

Well when we started it in was on a week break from college so I had along time to practise, now I'm back, I've hardly touched it...:upset:

But my max speed Ive got to so far is 115. Im extremely strict though, if I hit one wrong string/note whatever, I'll stop, start again, and tell myself I suck. I usually take the tempo a bit lower too.

Yes Dylan, I know I spam sometimes but it may be going a bit far when you tell someone to stop talking about Bodom so you can talk about ice...:).
Especially since they're new, make them feel welcome.

I do that as well. I think it helps in the longrun but also drives me nuts. Then again I won't stand for fucking up. :p

Your right Mitch...I should have said,

Welcome to MX, may I take your order? :p

MRDuCran 02-28-2006 03:39 PM

 Splooge.

I'm Charming 02-28-2006 03:41 PM
 Splooge.
There, I was nice and friendly...So much for that.

I dislike the n00bs that just stroll in here and are like, "omgz CoB rockz alot and WaRhEArT is totally the best s0ng 3v3r!.!."

PsychoticFlubber 02-28-2006 03:43 PM

I don't stop playing when I mess up unless I am recording. It all depends how bad the mistake is though.

I'm Charming 02-28-2006 03:44 PM
I don't stop playing when I mess up unless I am recording. It all depends how bad the mistake is though.
If I make a mistake, I'll lose focus and it will just be a parade of mistakes.

Thus, I stop and start over each time I do.

Anyone ever notice that Red Light in My eyes Part 1 intro is taken from Bachs invention 13?

Lawl. Alexi has "borrowed" so many riffs, classical stuff, punk, rock, death metal. There's references to films everywhere too, like the beginning of Warheart, Taste of my Scythe, Bodom Beach Terror etc.

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 02-28-2006 06:39 PM

I think there working on another dvd or something
