They ordered it for me, I slapped down the $10 dollar deposit, and after 5 or 6 weeks, I came back in to ask them where it was, and they checked and said, "Oh, it's been deleted from our stock". :mad:

I seem to have that same problem. I think I've mentioned it either here or in the other thread. Not enough metal dudes. In fact, I only know of one.

My mom seems to have a hard time accepting that I like metal. She was unhappy when I bought Something Wicked This Way Comes instead of a Jethro Tull album.

Fortunatly my parents dont really care what kind of music i listen to. They pick their issues and stuff like what kind of music i like, the clothes i wear, my hair etc. they dont care about.

I've got tons of metal guys, and a few metal girls in my town. My beautiful girlfriend is a big fan of classic rock, grunge and some metal bands. So I guess I am rather lucky.

Awesome. I had the problem with everything you mentioned for a LONG time.

My mom and stepdad were very lenient when we moved out here. As long as I didn't get any girls pregnant, didn't get arrested, and called them to let them know what I was doing, they didn't care what I did.

Which isn't to say that they are bad parents.

My gal loves Nightwish. She's also a classicaly trained singer, whose voice is a little higher than Tarja's but still suited to the kind of music. We joke about being in a Nightwish cover band together.

Unfortunately, my right hand isn't strong enough to play a lot of Emppu's riffs. :upset: But I'm working on that.

The only people into metal (other than nu-metal/metalcore) are my group of friends. And it's just me and my closest friend who like black/death.
