I miss my year 8 + 9 German lessons, GCSE french just wasn't the same...due to different people + annoying teacher + annoying language.

Although, I do like saying Je Suis la Gare :)
I'm racking my brain back to yr's 7,8 +9 to think what the crap that means in english.

dave grohl 12-01-2004 03:21 PM

I am the Station.

dave grohl 12-01-2004 03:25 PM

a teacher in my school said acouple of weeks ago that every student had to do a sport and i recently wrote a speech on banning sport in school for a competition, i won, and the teacher said that i had 5 weeks of detention just because she jumped to the conclusion that i didnt do a sport and i said i played tiddly-winks which is actually a official sport, but now i have 7 weeks of detention because of not doing a sport and being smart. the punishments at my school are particulary harsh to.

I used to live up near Brum 'til I was 8 years old (which was almost 9 years ago).

When I'm an angry Mr. Andy or a drunk Mr. Andy, my Brum accent comes out in full force, and someone came up with the name Lord Brummington.

Also, I'm the only Brummie in my group of friends, so it kinda makes sense.

:)

dave grohl 12-01-2004 03:52 PM

cool.

Last time my dad and his brother were having a conversation, I sat there and spent ages trying to figure out what they were saying, it was really fast brummie which I haven't heard for years.

Untitled 12-01-2004 04:32 PM

My mancuinian comes out......erm.......when i talk.

And please note, we dont all sound like scallys, only the scallys sound like scallys.

I hate that stereotype that all macuniuns are scallys/talk like oasis.

Brew 12-01-2004 04:33 PM

I like Oasis.

Untitled 12-01-2004 04:35 PM

So do i, but we dont all talk like them, like many people think.

Adam Jones is GOD 12-02-2004 12:21 PM

Blood tests?!?! Its nothing too bad i hope.

/prepares blood donor

I had to work early today, began cleaning at 1.30, while kids were still at school. That did my cred a lot of good.

And as for the nationality thing, me is a bit of English, Irish, Scottish, Canadian and Kenyan

duffroxmysox 12-02-2004 12:28 PM

yeah, might need blood tests cos I've been knackered a lot recently, like falling asleep at least once a day, and now I feel seriously ill, have done all week

I have friggin mocks starting next week aswell :(

It made me sleep throught the ONE geog lesson we were going through the stuff for the unseen exam and practically all the english lessons where we did the poems we need :(...but I have notes for them

Adam Jones is GOD 12-02-2004 12:33 PM

Mocks before christmas is inhumane, get them out the way before November should be the way. As for the English poems, if its from Best Words again, anyone should breeze it

Not good to be ill for more than a week, most i've had was 3 days. Time to drug upby the sounds of it (avoid antibiotics, those things are less good when too many people take them)

Then again, I havent taken a pill or injection for illness since i was 7, so maybe its not best me giving medical advice of any nature

bobbass4k 12-02-2004 12:34 PM

ahh mocks, i remember those, the fun

oh and banhof is the word for station

dave grohl 12-02-2004 12:36 PM

i have them after christmas - well thats ruined that this year. 'cause we had a different teacher every week for english for half of last year... we now have 3 weeks to: read a book, finish another book, analyse both, and do another 3 poems from best words, which will be, interesting.

good luck with them though, and hope you're feelin better soon :)
